Why Obama will lose
You republican control during 9/11 , Iraq War , Katrina , Wall Street collapse, High unemployment and job loss and a President that could go down as one of the worst in history but the race is close
There are a few reasons why..
http://www.breitbart.com/article.php...show_article=1
They are getting nasty in the campaign but Obama won't hit that low blow and bring up..
Keating 5
Mccain Temper
Mccain votes against troops(raises, college funding, Armor)
Palin cutting funding for special olympics and special needs children
The ONLY shot he has is the debates, if he can make Mccain angry or catch him on something he has a shot but if it stays like it is then he will lose by a large marin .. (when 5 percent of your base won't vote for you that's tough to overcome)..
With the country in the shape it is any other year the election wouldn't even be close and Obama SHOULD be up by at least 10 points but the fact he isn't doesn't look good for him.
I lost respect for both with both the VP picks.
If Obama had swallowed his pride and took Clinton it would be over but he couldn't do it...
If Mccain had taken Joe Lieberman or Tom Ridge like he wanted and not caved to Palin he could have actually shown he would stand up to the base.. By taking Palin and all that goes with her he proved he won't stand up against the Right of the party..
My main issue was health care and neither will do anything about it for poor people like myself
Obamas plan doesn't cover everyone and just gives them the option to buy into a plan and Mccains plan would ruin the system completly(want to deregulate it and have it run like the banking system).. Mccains plan will also raise taxes on people who get their insurance through work and probably cost even more people their insurance..
I find it funny that when there is a "War on Terror / Oil" or bank bailout they pull trillions out of their butt but when it comes to stuff like health care they say "we don't have the money"... I think it's a safe bet to say whoever wins it will be 1 term as they can not fix all the problems of the last 10 years in 4...
My prediction
Mccain wins whitehouse
Dems win House
Dems win Senate
Depending on Margin nothing gets done.. If dems take 60 in senate(I doubt it) then the president becomes a mute point as they would have veto proof votes(which is scary).. If Rep. Win house and senate to go with whitehouse they have total control(which is scary).. The best bet is a split so NO ONE is in total control

Id like to see Obama but i just have this feeling that a lot of people just wont vote for him cause of the race card.. i agree if he took Clinton this race would be over thou. I would have voted for her. I really hope its not Mccain .. i mean look what Bush has done, im hoping people will see the mistake they made with voting him back in for nother 4 years and just vote for Obama for a change. But i cant get this thought out of my head that people will vote for Mccain just because of Obama which is sad. youd think the century's of that kinda of childish stuff would be over !!!

Not true. You are talking about a filibuster proof senate not a veto proof senate. You need 2/3 vote in the house and senate to over-turn a Presidential veto, not 60%. You may want to review the constitution. It is a great document. :)
Obama will lose because America doesn't like socialism.

i love that fact that we are already establishing that if Obama loses it will be because America is racist. It can't be because he has llittle to no qualifications, has very questionable beliefs due to the church he is tied to, and the fact that you can't win an election with nothing to stand on but "I'm the most different from the last guy"

You all need to remember that the average American voter has the attention span of a gnat.
If on 11/3 gas is $4.50 a gallon and unemployment is 6.5% then Obama will win.
If things are looking better then McCain has a much better chance of winning.
People crap and moan about the President but in the whole scheme of things the President doesn't do a whole lot.
I am voting for McCain because I don't want the Supreme Court going more to the left than it is.
It still amazes me that 4 of the SCJ's voted that the ban on handguns in D.C. was constitutional.
We need to get back about worrying about OUR country and OUR citizens.

THIS WAS AN AP ARTICLE IN THE NY POST, IT'S PROB IN YOUR LOCAL PAPER TOO...I'M NOT CALLING ANYONE ON HERE RACIST, BUT RACISM IS REAL IN THIS COUNTRY.
WASHINGTON - Deep-seated racial misgivings could cost Barack Obama the White House if the election is close.
According to an AP-Yahoo News poll, one-third of white Democrats harbor negative views toward blacks - many calling them "lazy," "violent" or responsible for their own troubles.
The poll, conducted with Stanford University, suggests the percentage of voters who may turn away from Obama because of his race could easily be larger than the final difference between the 2004 presidential candidates - about 2.5 points.
Forty percent of all white Americans hold at least a partly negative view toward blacks, and that includes many Democrats and independents.
More than a third of all white Democrats and independents - voters without whom Obama can't win the White House - agreed with at least one negative adjective about blacks, according to the survey.
The pollsters set out to determine why Obama is locked in a close race with McCain, even as the political landscape seems to favor Democrats.
President Bush's unpopularity, the Iraq war and a national sense of economic hard times cut against GOP candidates, as does the fact that Democratic voters outnumber Republicans. Please feel free to message me here about my electronic bay & COMC listings

Bush has already turned this into a socialist country, and McCain would make it worse. I don't hear you decrying his actions.

Actually Americans seem to enjoy mild forms of socialism. We have SS, Medicare, and welfare. People that work pay into these programs and don't necessarily benefit from them.
