    Is This Fair...

I certainly think not but i want to her reponses to see if i should really get involved or if i'm overreacting.

My nextdoor neighbor who is my friend and i get along with him well got expelled from school this week in his senior year :( (he really wanted to graduate so bad and plans to take night school now to do so) because he threatned the lunch lady because he can't get reduced lunches. Yes its not smart to threatned the lunch lady's life, but he got to heated over something so small. we've all had those moments in some shape, form etc. He didnt mean it but the zero tollerance rule in schools screws him over

Now here's where i get mad, last year my Teacher threatned my life. I went to the principal explained it, the teacher admitted to it, everyone in class heard her. but she was just "joking". and guess what, all she gets is a WARNING?!?!?!?!?!?!

My issue is, what you do to one you should do to another, especially an adult threatning a minor. i feel its age discrimination that because she was an older teacher (under 60 but over 50) she isnt viewed to be a "threat" although if she did come after me, i would be defenseless because bogus rules where men can't even defend themselves from women without getting in trouble.

So in conclusion, is this an issue i should bring up with the principal and whe he says some BS to me, go to higher up's in the school district? or am i wrong?

I am leaving nothing out, this is all true

    Definetely not.

First off your neighbors expell-ation has nothing to do with you.

Secondly, looking at this in relative terms is no good, it usually is always no good.

    For example.......

A few years ago I went through railroad crossings when the thingies were down. Where I live they always came down, with no train ever in site, so I went through them. Well, a police officer saw me and followed me through the railroad thingies (they were still down) and gave me a ticket.

I was angry I got caught, so my logic was......well he did it, it must be ok, and should I bring this up in court? My lawyer basically told me to stop being stupid and don't say anything like that.

See my point???? Even though it was wrong of the police officer probably, it didn't mean it was ok for me to have done it in the first place.

    So I voted no.

BTW the cop never showed up to court and everything was dismissed :)

i understand what your saying but in a way it does. i'm not defending this because he's my friend, but if its zero tollerance for something as extreme as threatning someone's life, shouldnt it be the same for someone else? not only is this age discrimination, but also its sexist since he's a guy and is more "powerful" even though he's 5'5 110 pounds...lol

do you understand where i'm coming from?
there is so much wrong in this situation, that its not even funny

also a situation you had i think is different than mine, no offense. threatning someone's life compared to a railroad crossing where no train ever goes through?

Agreed, its the way it is, get used to it. Nothing you can do with it. All teachers and principals will side, you have no chance, and what happened to you was last year and no one will admit to that.

    No chance, dont even try.

Your friend broke the rules, and got what the penalty was and what he desreved, thats how all schools are because of all the school shootings.

There is definetely something wrong with that, however if I were you I stand by my thought (even though my example was bad). Now if your friend wants to bring this up, by all means let him do so.

And if you were really threatened, I would have called the police, because quite frankly that is a serious matter.

if its not on school file they are in trouble, since they told me it was put on files, and all the people from the class wont deny it, who can you belive 30 kids or 1 teacher?

its not me complaining that she did it to me, i already did that last year and they dont care, but this is just not right, because this happens probably in all places, and how do you know whats happen to someone, what if they've been abused in there past and they just threatned you?

i did, we have a deputy sherrif in our high school, thats what so wrong, they all say "well we believe it was a joke." well i think my friend didnt mean it either, but wrong his wrong, he deserves the punshiment but all people should be treated fairly (ideally they should)
