well the teachers comments were completely uncalled for, and I voted yes, because I fought against everything in school....needless to say I don't get Christmas cards from the faculty

On a seperate note, how does Adoral make you feel? Do you think it helps? I only ask because ADHD I believe is ridiculously over-diagnosed or misdiagnosed, and I have a bunch of friends who have taken it and say it doesn't help them, but they kept getting the prescription to sell the pills. On the other side, I have a friend who still takes it to this day and he says it absolutely helps him...However, If my kids are ever diagnosed with ADHD, I will refuse to give this drug to them

i raised my GPA the first marking period i took it from a 2.8-3.0ish to a 3.4
i started scoring higher on quizzes and started to be able to recall stuff learned better so it defintly helps me. i had been telling my mom since i was in 8th grade i couldnt focus, so it ws a looming problem

man, we agree completely on this. I deal with teenagers for a living and I have seen more issue with the side effects of add and adhd drugs then what they are supposed to fix/solve/help with.

I actually envy those with ADHD. I overfocus, which I think is more problematic. It would be great to have a lot of energy and be able to expend it in a multitude of ways.

I feel its age discrimination that because she was an older teacher (under 60 but over 50) she isnt viewed to be a "threat" although if she did come after me, i would be defenseless because bogus rules where men can't even defend themselves from women without getting in trouble.

I disagree with you, It's not age dicrimination it's gender discrimination. If this were an inverted situation: A male teacher threatening a girl in school, you better bet your bottom dollar that the male teacher would be repromanded. He most likely would lose his job etc.

This is a common problem in our society today. We just have to live with it.

See, I KNOW for a fact that I have "ADD" Although, I do not take anything for it, and for that reason, I do horrible in school and fail, a lot.

I know I have it bc I can tell, I cant pay attention in class or listen to a teacher for a long period of time, and I never learn anything. Who knows though, Maybe I should try adoral.

Ideally, I see exactly where you are coming from. I generally have the same mindset when it comes to issues like that. However, from experience, usually if you say something, nothing will be done. Height/weight have nothing to do with this. I have many personal examples of that as well, but they won't be made available. It's funny how a teacher in NY can get suspended/fired for calling a Muslim student a terrorist, but a teacher threatening to kill a student only gets a warning. It's all politics. Something I learned at a very young age.

i agree but i do think there is esomething with age to a degree. because they told me "she's to old that she couldn't hurt you" my response.... if she pulled a gun on me i'd be screwed. i go to a school with many messed up rules though, we can't wear coats?

if anyone care's talked to the principal today for 40 minutes (used my lunch hour so i didnt have to miss much class time)

heres how it went, he virtually agree's with everything i am saying, but says "I dont see her as a threat to anyone" "I am willing to take the risk"

so even though i can protect myself if the teacher has a nervous breakdown and comes to school with a gun, i'm screwed. he says there is a zero tollerance rule but she recieved a warning, because he didnt believe her. so pretty much my life rests in his hands, and if someone ever decideds to make these accusations again, i will be screwed.

the whole time my principal contradicted his words which in my opinion makes him loose most of his credibility

and finally, apparantly my friend is not expelled. he is temporaily expelled? which makes no sense? i would assume he means suspended indefintly?

If this was Cali the teacher and ur friend would be in jail. It's called terrorist threats. Been there done that. carries a 15 month minimum sentence out here in Cali.

Basically "Any threat to cause direct or indirect bodily harm"

Post Columbine Law and first person arrested (in Socal anyways) ... Me. Great way to make history. Even though it wasn't school related I ended up with an amplified sentence.

My point is this. 2 wrongs don't make a right. Here in CAli it would have been worse. The teacher should have been fired at least. Your friend got lucky. Very easily this could have been a legal issue.

I'd tell him to do the night school route or continuation school and choose his words a lil better next time
