Mike, of course Obama says race isn't an issue. If he did he would look like an idiot and the media would be ripping him apart for saying it.
I don't think race will decide the election but to say it doesn't have an impact is naive in my opinion.

I don't think race will decide the election but to say it doesn't have an impact is naive in my opinion.
What is a naive opinion is if some white people vote for McCain because he is white it is racist. But if 90% of African Americans vote for Obama it is not. It is naive to think that Oprah can have Obama on her show and no other politician and that has nothing to do with race.
Mike, of course Obama says race isn't an issue. If he did he would look like an idiot and the media would be ripping him apart for saying it.
So, what you are saying is Obama is a liar?

Why he won't win
1. He's Black (that simple when 5% of your party won't vote for that reason)
2. Bill Clinton has said as much nice stuff about Mccain as Obama
3. Voters who believe crap like Obama is a muslim, he doesn't say pledge etc.
4. Mccain negative attacks (which is all he is doing now)
5. Obama will not stick the knife in he could
........... 1. bring up keating 5 and say see bank scandel = John Mccain tv won't cover it and when it was brought up on Fox news they cut the guy off and said "that belongs in history books"
........... 2. run an add showing wall street and Mccain running back to washington then show people drowning in Katrina and Mccain having a party with Bush saying he's for the rich and against middle class.
6. Sarah Palin every time they attack her people get offended and people like her
7. Terror people still believe that republicans are better at terror (for some reason)
8. Their are few negative mccain media stories but 100 obama(wright, ayres, wife etc)
9. there are no caucus in the general so that will hurt obama
10 it's hard times and people are afraid to take a chance on the new guy. They want the steady hand..

1. He's Black (that simple when 5% of your party won't vote for that reason)
And when 90% of blacks vote for him?
2. Bill Clinton has said as much nice stuff about Mccain as Obama
You are honestly saying that Bill Clinton has supporter McCain equally in this election? Forgetting the millions of dollars he has raised for Obama? There are your opinions then there are facts.
3. Voters who believe crap like Obama is a muslim, he doesn't say pledge etc.
As opposed to the voters that won't vote for McCain because he is too old?
4. Mccain negative attacks (which is all he is doing now)
What a joke! Yep, no one is attacking McCain or Plain in a negative way at all. I can't listen to a sentence out of Obama's mouth without an attack on McCain.
Pure opinion. Since you have no link, not even to the communist blogs, I will say this is opinion.
6. Sarah Palin every time they attack her people get offended and people like her
I guess you haven't watched TV in the past 3 weeks?
7. Terror people still believe that republicans are better at terror (for some reason)
This would take too long of a response. I guess it is like people think Democrats are good for the poor, right? I can't understand why!
8. Their are few negative mccain media stories but 100 obama(wright, ayres, wife etc)
Well, study after study (yes those annoying things called facts) that disprove you. You are completely off. I will give you 1,000 CC if you can show me a real link that shows 100 to 1 negative stories in favor of McCain.
9. there are no caucus in the general so that will hurt obama
Huh?
10 it's hard times and people are afraid to take a chance on the new guy. They want the steady hand..
So, when Bush won in 2,000 going against Al Gore, Bush wasn't the new guy?
Next!

So Mccain wasn't involved in the Keating 5? And he wasn't eating cake with Bush during Katrina are you SERIOUS???
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keating_Five
HERE YOU GO FROM THE WHITE HOUSE
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/relea...0125-515h.html
Check the date, it's the date of Katrina... So much for run to washington to get things done..
The Dem would get 80-90 percent of the Black vote no matter who it is. It's the people who admit they will not vote for him which is at least 5% according to yahoo poll..
MORE negative on Obama then Mccain
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationwo...,6802141.story
The country wasn't as bad off in 2000 when Bush won, We were not at 2 wars, scared by terrorists, terrible economy, in such debt.. It was safe to take a chance on a new guy..
AS far as palin, the media doesn't like her(and think she's an idiot) but small town america like her. They can run all the stories they want but people like her and it has helped Mccain..
I guess you do not watch the news or shows, EVERY show that Clinton was on he had nice things to say about Mccain and great things to say about Palin and Biden. It looks like it hurts for him to talk about Obama. And Mccain has taken those points to run tv ads with based on Clintons comments.
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2...-bill-clinton/
He even defended mccain when he suspended to return to washington..

Really? So getting impeached, lying on TV, bombing the Serbs, burning down WACO compounds with women and children, Embassy bombings, Somalia, first World Trade Center bombing, Cole bombing and dozens of other things happened and we were in fine shape? That is just off the top of my head. :) How about letting UBL go free 4 times and letting him plan 9-11? How about them apples?

That's not racist - the white voter is in that scenario is not voting FOR anyone, they are voting AGAINST the black man, ANY black man. Thus he is a racist.
The black voter in your scenario that blindly casts a vote for Obama simply because he is black is voting to empower Obama, a specific candidate. He is not voting AGAINST anyone. He is voting FOR someone, thus not being discriminatory and therefor not racist.
The two situations simply aren't the same thing.
