Kobe Vs. Lebron
This is meant to be a fun comparison. No arguing or acting like 12 year olds.
I would like to comment on gladdys comment of Lebron being bigger than kobe and that is why he is a better scorer. Yes Lebron is bigger but that is a lame excuse. When it is a game who cares who hits the 20ft 2pt. shot. If there is an easier way to make the points then do it. Lebron exposes this because he is a hybrid guard. A guy who has his body contral and ball control with his size in crazy. This is my main reason why I think Lebron will be better than kobe. Iverson is 6 inches shorter than kobe but they put up similar stats. Is iverson better than kobe than because kobe is larger and is able to dominate down low. oh wait iverson is smaller and shorter than kobe yet still finds a way to make it down low and drive.
Maybe kobe should learn this aspect of his game instead of firing up ridiculous shots.

agreed, it should be retired in honor of the greatest player in NBA history. MJ!!!
this will get intresting, and you say "why not take an easier way to make the points"
well when you say LeBrick is a better "shooter" that consists of jumpshots, layups dont make a great player, i make my layups, and i am terrible at basketball so what does that tell everyone?
Everyone knows Kobe has a better, nicer and more consistent shot. well everyone except you and Jeremy...Hidden Content

I'm going to be eating popcorn while watching this debate, but I may chime in occasionally ;-)
Anyway, anyone can lay in a basketball, but it takes talent to do it well, and accurately, and it takes skill to be able to double clutch, etc. I can do a layup too, but I can't double clutch, or get around a defender with ease. Lebron can. So can Kobe. They are both GREAT.

Yea, seriously. If me and Dan REALLY start going at it, it's nothing personal. So DON'T CLOSE THIS IF IT GETS THAT WAY! It's all in good fun between us.
Besides, one of these days, Dan will come out of the closet and admit that he's a LeBron fan!

OH Gosh..........
I cant believe Im seeing another thread like this? lol
First of all, I do not simply wont compare Iverson, Kobe and Lebron.
Just because they put up similar numbers, doesnt mean they are similar players or better or worse players than each other.
Iverson is the best crossover dribbler, quickest guard in NBA, someone who loves to go inside to score.
Kobe is the guy who used to go inside a lot (he still does), but ever since he developed his jump shots, he relies a lot on his mid range and 3pt shots to rack up his pts.
Lebron is a player who just loves to go insde because he is built. He is so big and strong compared to others even Kobe who is pretty built too. I cant even count how many times Lebron got "and one".
I believe stats does not mean anything but winning does. For example, a player would not play as hard if his team is up like 20 or 30 pts and a superstar player like kobe or lebron would be on the bench if that happens to prevent injury.
Also, as long as the team wins, kobe can dish out 10 assists instead of 30 pts.
See my point?
Direct comparison is really really hard to do in NBA unless each player had same teammates which is impossible.
If I have to pick one player, you guys would know whom I would pick but still that is just personal opinion.
P.S. To lukehoyt19
What do you mean when you say "kobe should learn this aspect of his game instead of firing up ridiculous shots."?
You think Kobe should become like Iverson and do crossover? Thats not his game.
If he is defended by a smaller guys, he will post up just like Lebron does often.
If kobe is defended by a bigger guys, he will drive inside or step out to shoot 3s or mid-range. (Think when he is defended by K-mart of AK47).
Or do you mean kobe should drive inside little bit more? Im really confused because kobe scores half of his points by going inside (either making layups or FTs).
