Nash to be traded to Raptors??
Not sure how much truth is behind it

www.heykobe.com
NBA insider Sam Smith, a writer for Bulls.com is reporting that there are talks of a trade between the Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors that would send Point Guard Steve Nash to Toronto. Although, as of now it is just speculation, with his former life of reporting for the Chicago Tribune and his access to NBA executives, Smith could be on to something here. Nash has repeatedly complained about the team, and was recently quoted as saying, “I feel like I’ve been traded. I feel like I’m on a different team because everything’s changed so much around here,” after Nash’s good friend Raja Bell was traded to Charlotte along with Boris Diaw. Nash has already made it clear that he would be interested in finishing up his career in either New York or back home in Canada. And with Nash’s numbers down, and his continually getting beat on defense against younger, faster players, maybe Nash sees the writing on the wall, and realizes his career may be winding down. The trade being rumored would look like this: The Suns would trade Steve Nash, Leandro Barbosa and Robin Lopez to Toronto, and would get back Jose Calderon, Andrea Bargnani, Anthony Parker, Jason Kapono and possibly Jamario Moon. Of course, by making this trade, the Suns would just about be throwing in the towel for this year, and could be the start of a rebuilding process in Phoenix. It may just depend on how the Suns play for the next few weeks, and what their playoff chances look like come the trade deadline.

I kinda doubt this would happen as of now...doesn't really seem like it would improve either team, although Calderon is younger than Nash, so they would have the PG spot locked up for 7-8 years instead of 2-3 with Nash.

If that trade went down as mentioned (which I highly doubt), I actually think Phoenix is making out better. I'd rather have Calderon for basically the next decade over a couple years of Nash.

i would absoultely HATE HATE HATE it if that happened!!! go to new york nash, i want calderon running the point over him. ecalderon has a bright future and nash only going to decline from here. aside form the fact that bargnani would be leaving the raptors?! no way i couldnt handle that. and jamario? forget it. the suns would be getting a better deal my a landslide

I'd hate to see him retire in another uniform though it just doesn't look right when players end thier career in a uniform they did'nt build thier legacy on. in baseball it happens and you get these throwback cards of guys in the wrong damn uniform! Griffey fan 2

If this happens, the shaq trade looks idiotic. I don't think it will, since I think Kerr has a high basketball I.Q. Otherwise, to all Suns and Raptors fans, welcome to the lottery.
