I was at my shop yesterday and I opened up a bunch of 08-09 Topps Chrome Basketball. I opened up 23 packs.There are 24 packs in a box. I didn't get the auto. The shop owner tells me that there was no auto in the box. He gave me the box, apologized and told me that I should contact Topps and see if they would send me an auto. I don't have the packs, but I do have the box. I'm sure if necassary I could get the owner to print me a receipt for the full box. Does anyone know if Topps will send me a replacement?

You certainly did get screwed, but I'm not sure who did the screwing. How well do you know the owner? The fact that one pack is missing casts some uncertainty on the issue.

Either way, proof of purchase should be good enough to get you a replacement from Topps. Unfortunately, I've rarely seen anyone get a decent replacement autograph. Good luck!

Nah, he keeps all the boxes behind the counter, and he told me that he saw that nothing was in the other pack.

I don't think I'm going to bother trying to get a replacement. I know I'm going to get a Walter Sharpe Auto, and I just don't think it's worth it for that.
