That was just one night, and I'm sure it got bad on here. Im sure it got bad on every message board. But thats the thing about politics, it gets very, very heated. This place is actually civil. Actually, I've seen more name-calling in the "football chat" forum than in here.
A lot of people like this section, if you dont then dont come in. No one is forcing you.

you have to place some of the blame on the stock market squarely on barack.... the market is all about consumer confidence... look at the days with the biggest losses....
Inauguration day (and ill pass on that one as he had no policy in place yet)
Day he announced plans for the stimulus bill
Day he passed stimulus bill
Days of major announcements for financial positions in cabinet
Day his budget was announced....
you can say that is a direct correlation with Bush... people are over that in the market...

Trust me I agree. I usually cruise thru here just to make sure people are playing nice.
On President Obama, I will say this, "He is the elected leader of the Country and as a Military man he is my Commander in Chief so he gets my support." I will not take part in the poll because they play a hypothetical game that breeds hate and discontent.

Like Aikman said, we've been doing a lot better lately. Since the week after the election, I've only had to give a couple of warnings...once the election hooplah died down and we made a concerted effort to try to play nicer, it has gotten significantly better. Of course with politics, there will always be a subject or two that pops up to rile people up, but overall, things are light years better than they were.

Right. People have opinons, right or wrong. But if you're going to post in here, please add something to the conversation, dont just say "Bush sucks/Obama is the man", or "Obama sucks/Bush was the man". Its not that hard people. Also, no personal attacks, keep everything civil so that we can all enjoy this section of the board. I've enjoyed it. I've learned a lot.

ok, I have a question here. Why is it that no one links Clinton to this mess??? His administration is the one that pushed for all of these bad loans. They were the ones that said we need to lend more to people who cant afford it, because of teyre econimic or social background. And for your proof, here is the NY times article, look at the date on it:
http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9C0DE7DB153EF933A0575AC0A96F9582 60&scp=1&sq=clinton%20fannie%20mae&st=cse
I also challenge anyone who says this is Bush's fault to say why. Dont just say it is, because thats what the media, in perticular the Clinton News Network, woudl have you believe. Clinton started the socialism, now Obama is adding to it, by making me and others pay for peoples homes when they shouldnt have them. You dont poay your mortgage, you shouldnt get a deal, you lose your house. go rent an apartment until ou can afford another house, others have had to do it. Im tired of hearing about how we need to help these people, Let them lose their homes they dont deserve. Homeownership is a priveliege, not a right.
