Support him prior - yes.
Support him now - yes.
The US President has one of, if not the most difficult job of anyone in the world. I support whoever is in office, whether I agree with his decisions or not.
But, President Obama hasn't been in office 45 days yet. How can we start judging him yet? What has he had time to do? He's not going to fix everything in the first 6 weeks, or 6 months - heck, it'll be a minimum of 2 years before we see a good change - until then, we will continue to go downward. This recession took a long time to get into, and it will take a long time to get out of.

We can judge him on what he's done so far. In the wake of the largest economic crisis in decades, he submits an irresponsibly-large plan for American spending with money we don't even have. The markets are reacting DIRECTLY to his stimulus plan and his budget and have gotten even worse than they would have been without his "help." On top of that, today he gets punked by Medvedev in international affairs. He has been a disaster so far, and what he is doing will have dangerous/negative ramifications for years to come.
Please, find a single credible economist who supports the President's economic and spending plan for me. Pretty please.

Ill give ya one I recently heard. Cant quote the guys name but he loves Obama's section of the stimulus bill that talks about improving and developing new renewable energy sources. He feels that if the American companies are the first ones to successfully implement these sources of energy the economy will sky rocket much like it did with oil

But has he actually done any of it yet? No. They are simply proposals thus far. People would be dogging on him if he wasn't doing anything. At least he's trying.

The stimulus bill is done. It's law. $410 billion of pork that the Senate got an entire 12 hours to review before a vote was forced on it. Not a single member of the Senate read it before voting.

i have never understood this argument.... everyone says drilling will only last for so long and we shouldnt do it.... well if there are 25 years under Alaska... and we continue to look for alternative energy, why not dill now in alaska and continue to spend money looking for these alternatives... In 25 years oil shouldnt even be relative anymore... but we always seem to push it off and never do anything about it...

I completely agree, but Palin felt to not put any money into alternative energy. Drilling while vigorously researching would be something few people except tree huggers would oppose
