what is this real world you describe?
i'm curious because previously you have suggested that i live in a fantasy world, so i was wondering if i should have made a turn somewhere instead of following this yellow brick road for so long...

I still support him, he hasn't had time to do much so far.

I supported him before the election. I still do but my opinion of him is slipping just a tad. I believe he is a great presidential figure. (that does not by any means say I believe he is the greates president ever) Although I do believe his programs and policies will take time to unfold I believe the best thing to do right now in this time of economic disaster is to decrease government control of everything. Sure it worked in the Great Depression, adding government control of the economy I mean. But look at the Soviet Union. Creating all people as economically equal is not financially nor economically sensible. A true free market economy will always have boom and bust cycles. The busts usually go as low as the booms were high.

I didn't vote for him as I think all Presidents are mostly just political figureheads for their parties. Hate to say that but I voted for Perot as I knew someone that would not vote the party way plain and simple but that is just me.
Obama is charismatic but what he is putting forth is not going to help the country in my opinion either. He said we needed a stimulus. As he advisor and party said we needed to act fast. Well why did we act so fast? To pass all the pork or get the stimulus in the economy. I not seen it with the market, employment rate, etc. I don't think it going to help even in the long term but that just me. Wanting to pass more stimulus bills seems a bit drastic when you not even proven the first one is working.
p.s. I hope he succeeds as if he fails he is going to take us all with him.

i guess there is no perfect "real world" but being in a liberal college and never having a job where you pay real taxes and deal with policies in everyday life i would consider not being part of what goes on.

Barack Obama
or
Sarah Palin

I dont like Obama because he takes big government to a whole new level. he is putting in place programs that i believe will keep my grandchildren in debt... He also lies to americans when he says he is bringing the troops home. I supported the war in Iraq, or at least support the troops completely but to say they are coming home is only half the truth. He doesnt say anything about sending them back over to pakistan or afghanistan. He has already made some pretty major blunders that many "experts" say could cause backlash in the middle east.... so much for getting along with everyone... its pretty much that simple....
