Lol. Of course in your opinion your going to think KG is more important. Which, he probably is, because god knows Pierce isn't the reason Boston won the Championship last year, it was mainly cause of KG. I'll give you that. But still. without Z, we have no big men that can play on offense, at least that is how it was a few days ago before we got Joe.

Is there a reason you think Pierce was not as big as KG in winning the title? I"m curious because as a fan watching the games I didnt feel that way. To me, it was kind of a whoever's hot type thing. KG's biggest contributionto the Celtics was instilling that defensive mentailty, but on the court I dont feel KG is any mroe important than Pierce.

I agree there too...but, KG brings stellar defense along with consistant offense, whereas Z doesn't have superb defense. Just my opinion though :-)

Because Pierce couldn't do crap until he got KG and Ray Allen. Just stating facts here.

KG had a double double in every finals game last year...Pierce had nice numbers, but was off in game 3 I believe it was, where KG was great throughout.

So now that I'm not mad at the world anymore, I'll give my opinion on the game.
Mo was a beast, he is the most clutch player and most important offensive player on this team. Delonte hasn't been the same since that Detroit game, he needs to step it up offensively. Gibson still can't shoot, Wally still can't shoot. I actually miss Ben. Varejao did much better after Crybaby took him out, he seems to play better when he is mad. I love Z, the only center I know of that can hit 18 footers. We need to play Kinsey more, he actually isn't that bad. Joe Smith was rusty in some areas, but he was surprisingly good in others.
And on Lebron...I still say he isn't going to get MVP the way he has played in important games this year. I still say he gets this chip on his shoulder when we play Boston or LA, and he feels like he has to show up Kobe or Pierce. I think he needs to calm down before the playoffs and start using his team in these important games instead of trying to do it all himself.

He went just as far as Lebron, the Eastern conference finals. I firmly believe Pierce benefitted KG just as much as KG benefitted Pierce. The one thing Pierce has that no other Celtic has is that ability to put a team on his back like he did in game 7 against the Cavs. He showed a little of that tonight as well, to a much lesser extent. In my opinion only him, LeBron, Kobe, and Wade have that ability. I'm not saying KG isnt as important as Pierce, I just dont think he's more important. I will say this, neither would have a ring without the other.

Maybe that had something to do with him going against the person who is third string at that position.....

Lebron got further than the ECF actually...he went to the Finals in 07.
