Who does it help specifically? American citizens? If you say yes, how so, again, specifically, and at what cost? Why should my tax $ pay to rebuild a country that should have never been destroyed in the first place?
How do you know that stem cell research will not help American citizens? It will, in fact, create research jobs, and if a cure for any serious disease is discovered as a result, as many scientists believe it will, how would this NOT help anyone?

no it helps iraq because america is supposed to be the caring nation who will help a country, obviously you didn't know why we went there in the first place. it was because hussain killed more people than hitler did and we wanted to stop it and did, now i have no clue why we are there now, and even if we leave obama will do to afganistan and pakistan and will cost us just as much money if not more. i think stem cell could be helpful, i was talking about the spending he has done the last month was not helping very many people.

The whole point of Stem Cell Research is to help people. It will cure paralysis/cancer etc.
Wow, you really need to freshen up on your history.

I'm not trying to change this to a different conversation, but that is NOT why we went to Iraq in the first place. Please go back and read any newspaper from 2003, before the war, and you will not see ANY mention of the humanitarian reasons you mentioned. All I heard was WMDs, and possible nukes in Iraq. Using your logic, why didn't we invade North Korea or the Sudan instead? There was just as much genocide/killing in those places, if not more than in Iraq. BTW, Saddam Hussein was responsible for a lot of killing and death and was definitely a bad man, but he did NOT kill more people than Hitler, not even close.....read a history book instead of listening to Rush Limbaugh once in a while. All this other humanitarian stuff came out after GW couldn't find the WMDs he originally said we were supposedly going there to eliminate.
I agree that Obama's decision to expand the war in Afghanistan is the wrong one, but someone has to clean up the mess left by the last tenant of the White House. If Bush would have just focused on cleaning up Afghanistan and capturing Bin Laden instead of shifting our forces unneccesarily to Iraq, we wouldn't even be talking about this right now.

Not sure I understand what you're trying to say.

The reason that was given to the media and the American people wasn't the major factor in the invasion.

So GW and his government lied to the public to justify an unnecessary war and spend trillions of $ in Iraq, is that what you are saying? If so, then we agree.
