The Soul Discussion
It has been mentioned in a couple of threads, so I figured we could just have a little topic on it and see where it takes us.
Do you think we have a soul?
When do we develop our soul?
What do you believe our soul is?
Where does our soul come from?
What happens to our soul when we die?
Do we lose a piece of our soul when we sneeze?
Now that James Brown is dead who is the King of Soul?

Do you think we have a soul? yes
When do we develop our soul? in the womb
What do you believe our soul is? the brain
Where does our soul come from? it is developed in the womb
What happens to our soul when we die? it is transformed
Do we lose a piece of our soul when we sneeze? no :)
Now that James Brown is dead who is the King of Soul? tough call
As an addendum, I differentiate between the soul and spirit. Some view them as the exact same thing, but I view the soul as our mind and the spirit as an intangible. I think body, soul, and spirit are transformed after death.

Do you think we have a soul? No
When do we develop our soul? Never
What do you believe our soul is? A man-made thing that makes us feel good.
Where does our soul come from? Nowhere
What happens to our soul when we die? It never exists
Do we lose a piece of our soul when we sneeze? Impossible to lose what you never had
Now that James Brown is dead who is the King of Soul? Different soul that was indeed ruled by James Brown. It still is.
Humans have an infatuation with "soul." Religion has more proof than this unidentifiable thing. Why is important to have a "soul?" We are spiritual. No need for more fun words.

The "soul" is simply a concept of one's self where one tries to make the unobservable, observable. Many want to believe there is such a "soul," so they take ordinary conditions and project the existence of a soul onto them.
By definition, the concept of a "soul" denies itself analytical/scientific validity. There is no need, or use, to search for a valid basis of a soul as such.

it is just like people saying "give me physical proof of god and i will believe it." That is why it is called faith and that is why everyone in the world is not a believer in spiritual things. If there was physical proof we all would believe. As for me, I will take faith.

I didnt make an extraordinary claim, I just said prove there isnt one. Can you do that? I cant prove to you there is one, but you cant prove there isnt one. So now what do we do? Haha.

You missed the point. The more I read, the more I disagree with religion. I wish someone could give me evidence. So you are saying you have a soul?
