    Chris Dodd and AIG

Keep voting Democrat. They will take the money and add loopholes. Sounds like it was Dodd or Obama that added this loophole.

Dodd included it from the suggestion by Geithner...already posted about it. You're just off your game since you left the P&R Mike:

Geithner: Treasury pushed for bonus loophole

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told CNN Thursday his department asked Sen. Chris Dodd to include a loophole in the stimulus bill that allowed bailed-out insurance giant American International Group to keep its bonuses.

In an interview with CNN's Ali Velshi, Geithner said the Treasury Department was particularly concerned the government would face lawsuits if bonus contracts were breached.

I thought you were leaving??? As for AIG, how about give them nothing, and let them collapse?? Nobody should get anything, and it will eventually fix itself.

Yes. This is what Republicans think. I actually heard Mitt Romney state, "Clearly the bailouts aren't going to work. We Republicans support self-inflicted gun shot wounds to cure the AIG crisis."

    On to something with substance...

True conservatives (who understand the pure and perfect capitalist system) would prefer bailouts to be equal to $0.00 and allow the free market/the people/you and me to determine who and what remains in business and in what capacity.

But nope. The Government will take over instead. Hey, they've done so well in the past, why not grant them more power? Yes we can!

...curious why all these anti-government neo-conservatives aren't *****ing about Rep. Frank's plan to tax the bonuses back.

its never going to stop, its the nature of the beast, try and find everything to complain about the opposing side. It happened for years with trying to knock down Bush and his supporters and now its just flipped with Obama with guys like mikesilvia and One Pimp Tiger. I'm Republican, I voted for McCain but honestly my life is not any different under Obama and the new administration that has been in office for what..two months? He's going to make some mistakes and bad (or suspect) decisions that early on that he'll have to dig himself out of. It happens to EVERY President, Dem. or Rep. in their first few months
