Collectings going Stale...

Hey everyone,

just need some suggestions on how to make collecting more fun again..lol Lately its been mostly frusterating and annoying..Either people arent responding to threads, and they post on mine constantly only to get no response. or people only want to trade when they give up "junk" and want your "star" stuff in return...not everyone is like this but there have been alot doing this lately, and i'm really tired of it... NO THIS IS NOT A RANT! just for the record...

I tried going back to collecting any Piston card i dont have, but all that leads to is people either not taking the time to check what i already have and expect me to look through long lists of what they have, or wanting to only trade for my autos/gu's for there 90s base that everyone has but wont look through...

Anyone with suggestions? its just not fun anymore to me, but i ofcourse dont want to let people dictate weather i collect or not..

funny you said collecing getting stale. I noticed myself that there haven't been a lot of box breaks ( not like before) and it seems like less people are actually posting and responding to this forum( I could be wrong, but thats just what I feel)

People just dont have the manners to atleast respond if they dont see anything i guess? I make sure that i always respond and understand sometimes you miss a post, but i dont think you can miss the first post of a thread...

I guess they feel that if the deal doesnt go through or bad they might end up having a bad rep on here since you are a well known guy here. Personally I dont trade I just collect and collect until I have so much that I dont know what to do with it. I'm keeping it for my kids. I dont think there is any harm in that. This forum is not only about trading right?

of course not! i've been chating on here more lately than trading! lol..yea i dont like to use my rep over someone but when others see people being rude to people that are well established, i think it does get them somewhat of a bad rep..i've been focusing on my
Al Jefferson PC as much as possible right now, the last 2 months i've added a ton!

Yea i hate when you get those people who never respond back either on their own thread or on your thread. Also i do agree with people only wanting to either trade high end and not base/inserts for base/inserts. Also like you said Dan people wanting your superstars for their "Junk" cards. It really starts to suck after a while. i have no prob with trading small as in a couple base for a couple base. thanx and hopefully this gets turned around! :)

well its hard to collect when people want lets say my Granger Auto (although this hasnt happened on this card, but some of my better stuff) for there Will Blalock or Alex Acker Auto..i dont care if one is worth 15 and my Granger is lets say 8..Granger is a star and Blalock is probably in Europe...

I still got my good traders i trade with often..you, Nathan, schwood, 98padres, mattdile, griffeyfan, and i'm sure i'm missing a ton of people, but i think you get the point, however there are good traders, such as a guy i traded with last weekend, hes sending me over 125-150+ Pistons i need! and i'm sending him some Detroit rookies and other MISC stuff!

but i have my Jefferson PC, trying the Pistons PC, but it still seems dry, i'm not sure if i want to do a team PC, because i feel it takes away from my Jefferson PC. Maybe make it open only towards Al Jeffersons i need?

Your to funny, i wil lstart once you start a Rodney "Brick" Stuckey as you like to call him..

I have a bucket just dont use it because the scans wont look good off my camera, i can take scans on request

BTW, you still owe me a Pistons banner for Nathan :)
