I'm into guns too...dying to get me a good one for carrying. Right now, my only handgun is a big revolver...unless I'm going to the old west, it's not very good for carrying.
I've got a Ruger Blackhawk .357 Magnum...but it's the black finish. It was my 21st birthday present from my dad...love it like a child.
Very cool...you SWAT or something?

Nasty! Right now I'm looking at a Sig P229 or Sig P239 either would be a .40. Also I want a Mossberg 500 Shotgun with a pistol grip. Regardless, I am buying a carry gun next month once my house closes.

Personally not a fan of 9mm. My wife has a little glock 22, though that she loves. Little recoil so she enjoys firing it. My sidearm is a S&W .38 special snub nose revolver. I like it because it's easily concealed and no safety. It only holds 6 rounds, but if you're a good enough shot you'll only need 1 or 2. Makes me feel like a cowboy :)
those Sig Sauers are nice little pieces, though. We have a gun store with a range, and they let you test the firearms after a background check, signing a waiver, and pay a small fee to cover the ammo. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Sigs are very nice...my dad, little brother and myself are mostly into hunting guns with the occasional pistol, but my older brother is all about handguns and assault rifles and he's big on Sig. He's probably had 10 or more over the years and still has a few of them...them and Glock are about the only brands he'll consider, maybe an occasional S&W.

My favorite plinker is my M1 Carbine that belonged to my uncle. He got it while in the Navy in the early 70's. It's a Springfield Armory WWII issue. I had to replace the spring and pin, but I was fortunate enough to find original parts. It's in really good condition. I don't fire it as much anymore because of the price of ammo. I used to be able to get 3 boxes for the price of 1 only a few years ago.

that Marlin is sweet. I've wanted a lever action, but I haven't broken down and bought one yet.
