Yeah, i was just wondering why people would be fascinated with guns when they are dangerous and all. I wouldn't of argued with Aikman.

sks and ruger .22

heres a question ive been going back and forth with,on the .22 i use for gophers so im only shooting at 30 feet or less but me and the sights dont like each other so should i change the sights or buy a cheap scope

At the distance you are shooting, I would just put some better open sights on it. I have a x36 scope on my .22, but I use it for squirrel hunting..You could still put a scope on there and dial it in for that close range, but it may be hard to pick him up at first..Personal prefferance and whatever you like.

I agree that less than 30 feet is too close for a scope to make sense.

The one I got was only about 75 bucks, but you can find some that are much more expensive.

We are fascinated with them for the reasons I said earlier, plus some guns have a lot of history. And you're right guns can be dangerous, but so can vehicles, or anything else for taht matter if its not used properly.

I have a beretta AL 390 semi auto shotgun http://www.midwesthuntersoutlet.com/item.aspx?pid=56037 (just like this one only mine is a 30 inch barrell) and a Marlin .22 semi auto. The beretta is going bear hunting with me here in a couple months... shes ready for turkey season in a couple weeks too...
