It's hard to argue with any of the previously mentioned Priest, Maiden or Sabbath and even harder to pick just one, but right at the moment I would have to go with this one!

I can't believe not one post for Megadeth - Rust in Peace....
I love a lot of different metal, from Sepultura to Mettalica to S.O.A.D. (I don't care about sub-genres, metal is metal) but man for wicked riffs and amazing solos to freakin awesome lyrics top to bottom, my vote goes to Megadeth - Rust in Peace. Polaris, Holy Wars and Take no Prisoners are some of the best metal songs ever written. This wasn't even a hard choice to me, now if we had a vote for best metal song ever, then that would be alot tougher.
(ps - if I spelled any names wrong....sue me...lol)

Good CD the live DVD was pretty sweet as well, my buddy was the bass player rich casey, got me back stages passes for OZ Fest the year they played the whole tour, but Best Metal for me : AS I LAY DYING! Frail Words Collapse, and Zao "Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest, and Liberate Te Ex Inferis, plus A LOT MORE!!!
