I guess Quenneville judged giving up 3 goals in less than 5 minutes was unacceptable and he just pulled him from the game.

agreed...that was a horrible horrible call...although the hawks didnt score. Also how about the no hooking call on the Zetterberg breakaway during the 5 minute pk. Hawks got a lucky break with Lidstrom's stick breaking and the wings missing datsyuk and kronwall, coupled with the slow OT start. I dont blame Ozzy for any of the goals. Decent win by the hawks...overall not a very exciting game in my opinion. None of the goals were pretty, they were all tainted in some way be it screens or tips, or broken sticks. Oh well, hopefully the next game is an exciting one.

Only got to see a few minutes of the game. Unfortunately it was the last few. lol. Chicago did not make it this far because they are bad!! Lots of intensity!!
I have to say though the hit by Kronwall was AWESOME!!!! That was by far the Cleanest hit I have seen him make in a long time and it was that one that got him booted. lol.
Can't wait for game 4. Detroit will be 3-1 after that game!!

Of course the Red WIngs Fan call it a bad call. Maybe they changed the rules within the past couple of days, but last time i checked im pretty sure ur werent supposed to check people up by their head. and... i konw its just barley but if u watch closley he also leaves his feet. Last time i checked u werent aloud to leave ur feet either.

do the red wing fans have an explanation for how hitting a guy in the face with ur shoulder is a clean hit?

wow...elbow to the mouth....not really sure why so many people seem to think that was a clean hit...

Not a wing fan but that was clean. Got caught skating with his head down and paid the price.

I think it was more the shoulder not elbow. They can rule it however they want but we could site here day after day and show you hits that were clean and followed the same rule as this. I do not really get upset with it as the ref's make calls that go back and forth all the time.
There no real way to say it clean or not as the way the NHL makes calls on one play compared to the next makes that debate futile. As they changed the rules on the severity of the hit, on the reputation of the person hitting, and their own personal feelings.
