I think it was a clean (extremely hard nonetheless) hit, because when you have the puck in between your skates, any referee will tell you that you have posession of the puck. Havlat was looking down and had no idea kronwall was about to knock him into tomorrow. The ruling of interference was definitely incorrect. I could see maybe a 2 minute minor being justified here but thats about it. May I bring up the Brad Stuart hit on RJ Umberger in round 1, that was the same hit with no call.
By the way I wouldnt say the wings were off last night, I just think they were stunned by all the penalties in the first period, then they had to take some time figuring out how to play without kronwall and datsyuk. One guy who definitely wasn't off was Chris Osgood...he may have let in 4 goals...but they were 4 goals that were humanly impossible to stop. He's been great. I DO think the wings will bounce back.

Darren Nailed it.
Clean hit, momentum carried him high. In fact the NHL should apologize to him, and fine Havlat for being stupid!

Exactly!!! He did not jump in the air to hit him. when they made contact the momentum pushed him into the air over top the guy!!
Trust me I have seen him leave his feet!! This time he did not do it!!
And to answer another question. If Dats or Zetty got hit like that WITH THEIR HEAD DOWN forgetting they were playing hockey then yes I would be mad!! Mad at them for being dumb enough to not be paying attention to the situation. Great hit!!Last edited by Rayzorsports; 05-23-2009 at 11:00 AM.

You Wings fans are avoiding the question. Is it still a clean hit if that happens to one of the Wings players? and don't say it wouldn't happen to a Wings player!!!!

If Bolland hits Hossa like that.. its a clean hit.. I dont think its avoiding the question when I said it was clean the first time with kronwall.. why wouldnt oit be clean the other way.. it would..

I'm glad you think that way. Other fans would say it a good hit if it happens to your team, but if it happens to my team........
It's like saying that all the goals the Hawks scored were great goals and all the Wings goals were lucky.

I always stated that homer's are annoying. And if Osgood some of those goals.. it would be save of the year. Chicago just outplayed Detroit.. again..

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that the Hawks out played the Wings. I thought it was a good back and fourth game, had me sitting on the edge all night.
Whatever happens in the series I think the winner wins the cup.
