what do you mean howard is available soon? hes locked up for two more years and i can't see a way they would get rid of him unless mccollum develops FAST and then get some other young goalies in their system...

The wings wont be allowed to keep Howard in Grand Rapids next year. And they wont make him a starter over Chris Osgood. Another team can easily come in and make him a nice offer. Either way the wings aren't going to be able to keep both Howard and Conklin

Every single one of the wings forewards is contributing and Zetterberg, Datsyuk, and Franzen are better than the pens top 2 in my opinion.

....datsyuk has been a ghost. hes been INVISIBLE. and hes been hurt. PLUS you didnt have liddy or draper. If those 3 can't get healthy and contribute then the pens win the cup.

thats funny because conkin is a UFA after this season. and why do you say they won't be allowed to keep him in GR?

In order for the Hawks to trade Huet away they are going to eat someone elses salary. Remember the Hawks played close to the cap all year. They lose havlet and Habby (13 mil) this year. They can only resign one of them and at a discount.

ahh. philly wont work for huet then. his salary plus the issue philly had with their salary wont allow it to work. either way i don't see huet and khabi both being there next year

Philly/holmgren will do whatever it takes to get the salary room needed for a goalie. Rumors are they are looking to move Briere/lupol/Carle for cap space. A big rumor is briere for carey price. I don't think it will happen, but that would put us under the cap big tiem since briere makes a bucket of cash

if you honestly believe the red wings defense will be filled with holes like Carolina's you are a fool. Tim Gleason has single handedly given Malkin 3 or 4 goals by letting him walk all around him. The Penguins will have a ton of trouble with the red wings defense and goaltending. not to mention our forwards are the strongest in the league. The pens have Cindy and Geno...2 players. Every single one of the wings forewards is contributing and Zetterberg, Datsyuk, and Franzen are better than the pens top 2 in my opinion.

did the goaltender just get done leaving the game againts the hawks and howerad was the one behind the bench in the third and as far as sid and geno Zetterberg, Datsyuk, and Franzen are better than the pens top 2 in my opinion and where do they sit in the points race in the playoffs so how can you say that they are better when you have them sitting 1-2 when they are playing the way you are not to many teams are gona stop them that is just what i think

Datsyuk has been a ghost offensivley, but he has been superb defensivley. His defensive presence as a forward is immense, and hes one of the best in the league defensively.

Also the league has restrictions on how many years you can keep a draft pick in the minors. Howard is on his last year. The wings lost Kyle Quincey the same way.

briere for price would just be dumb IMO ESPECIALLY if the Luongo for Price Higgins and a pick offer is on the table. I don't think the Habs will trade price. Give him time, he could pan out.

I feel bad for carle. He had to play for the sharks, then got traded twice in one season.
