I personally hate when people send me 10 cards they were interested in, and they are my Top 10 PC cards. That annoys me so much.

Yes, that's exactly what bothers me! Sometimes people just need to understand the PC and NFT means "Private Collection" and "Not for Trade" and not "I really want to give these to you because you see them". If I state that some of my pc cards are available then I'm okay with it, but don't go looking through the PC section in my bucket because they're likely my best cards...

As for the text-talk thing, it annoys me a lot. When I text or type, I usually use the full word instead of "dat" or "wut/wat" "u". I mean at the end of the day, how much longer is it really going to take you to type out an extra couple of letters?

Yeah I usually do my best to use proper language and english but sometimes I slip a little lol

Another thing that was mentioned is the GONE thing. I have a TRADED folder for a reason, to move stuff when they get TRADED. That means I don't have them anymore. I thought that was simple too but I guess not lol

When you get a pm with no name. I always leave my name so that they know who they are speaking with. It may be my first or last name, but no matter it is one of them.

Also, people who when you ask them a question..."Do you have Upper Deck Hockey? and they reply back "Yes". Well if you have some what year, what players, etc. Not just "Yes". Some people have a limited grasp of the english language.

Also, people who state they are interested in cards that you have, but will not trade certain ones of theirs to you. They want the best you have, but are willing to give up crap!!! This is me, but if I have a $40 card and I look at someones tradelist and I get 10 cards at $4 each I am good with that. If these are 10 cards that I need for my collection. Most people want a $40 card for a $40 card. That is good for them as they may collect only certain players or certain cards. For me I am a set collector, so I am more flexiable on this.

    I am out!!!

The text-talking gets on my nerves wherever and whenever I see it. I never use it.

As for some of the other things in this thread...if I have been guilty of any, I apologise. I'm still new to the ways of this site and the etiquette tha goes with it.

I wonder if you have this many complaints about your "hobby" why are you doing it? Can it be fun for you, if you are this frustrated at what other collectors do or how ebay rips you off or how UD sucks because you can't get any value from your box etc, etc, etc.
Everything is so serious and yes there are idiots, but there will always be, just ignore them and move on, no need to start a thread about them.

People are individuals, the economy sucks, people suck, things happen,
follow the rules set out by this site, use common sense and you should be safe.

With PM's sometime I answer, sometimes I don't. If the asking price is not to my liking, I may not answer, not because I think your asking price is wrong or high or low , I just don't answer back, simply for the sake it doesn't seem as important in life. If this is a major insult, I apologize in advance.
If other collectors want to burn up their CC's and sell off at "below ebay" prices, good for me!. As far as the ruing the value of cards??? I think we all know where the hobby is headed... down the toilet, it must be, with all the complaints that I read on these boards, there can't be any saving it. There is a new pet peeve thread started every second day.

We all know this can be a very expensive hobby, but is should still be a hobby. Life is short and should be enjoyed and maybe we shouldn't put so much effort in something that most sell at a lost in the not too distant future.

Sorry for the ramble... this is not directed at anyone in particular, not meant to offend anyone, just my observations, wrong or right.

What gets under my skin is the people who go through the pack/box break forum and respond to them all in 5 minutes with nice break. Even if the person is complaining how bad the break was. It's just obvious that they are doing it to get there posts uip and not really reading the thread.

I would rather have no response than these empty ones, or responses from people that actually have read the thread and either have a comment worthwhile or have some interest in the cards you are showing.

    My rant

I had a comment about the Team Bag thing earlier in the thread, I didn't want to use tape but didnt want to spend the money for team bags, but while I was in Target getting supplies for a birthday party im throwing, i came across these things called like "Cello Bags". Basically they are like these little bags that you put party favors or candy or whatever in. I figured if they are safe to put food into, they would be safe to put a card in a penny sleeve and top loader into. They are a little larger then a team bag, but i wrap them tight and tape them up. The bags are easy to tear open without having to deal with the tape and they seem to do the job great. The best part is they cost me $2 for 50 of them.

for me one of my biggest is tape on top loaders. i understand people want to make sure the cards come in safely but thats what team bags are for!!!

ive just started on this site, and this is what already bugs me! i hate tape on the top loaders!

im now in the process of buying more top loaders just to swap the cards out into fresh ones lol.
