Mets at Citi Field Thread

Decided to just make one big thread for each time I got out to CF instead of individual ones.

5/28/09

Went out today for BP after the weather here in NYC cleared up, went to the Mets side which was packed of course. First couple guys I tried to call over didn't even attempt to make eye contact. So I got fed up and went to the Nationals side.

I wound up getting Shairon Martis on a OMLB (Sweet Spot), too bad the Pen he used didn't work right away so I'm missing some of his signature.

Tried to get Ken Takahashi who was shagging fly balls in LF at the game time as Martis was running the warning track but he didn't have his interpretor with him so he didn't understand that a couple people wanted him to sign

Afterwards I saw a couple Mets sign over by where I was earlier but couldn't tell who

Final Tally for today: 1 (Martis S.S Ball)

Next attempt will be on Friday afternoon before the game, going to try for some Mets by the players parking lot.

Hey thanks for trying to get Takahashi for me. I always yell in Japanese to get Japanese players attention but you can try to say "sign" instead of "autograph" and try to pronounce sign like "sa-inn" and pronounce the a not like the a in "insane" but like the a in "sack" or maybe hold this banner

I should be able to get him outside before the game, he signed for someone last time before I had my photo printed up. Hopefully he'll do both.

5/29/09 vs. Marlins

Today wasn't bad, I just wish I had brought some stuff for the Marlins to sign. A lot of the pitching staff, Bonafacio, Cantu, C.Ross all came past me and the crowd who were getting Graphs today.

Mets wise I wound up with the following

Daniel Murphy 8x10
Livan Hernandez OMLB (Sweet Spot)
Fernando Martinez OMLB (Sweet Spot)
Ron Darling 8x10 and OMLB (Sweet Spot)
Ken Takahashi 8x10 and 4x6 for Dicekmvp

Takahashi came to the park with a camera crew and they were filming him signing and through his translator he asked if I had an extra of the photo I was getting signed which I took myself. Stupid me didn't, so I said next time I will bring one and I'll make sure to give it to you. He said Thank You. So I gotta remember to print up another copy for him.

A lot more people came today than last time, so we got turned down a lot (Reed, Putz, Sheff, Wright and Reyes).

Sean Green and Ramon Castro also signed signed but I didn't have anything for them this time.
