There is no Kobe era. I don't think there could be an era for a player who has won 1 MVP and no finals MVPs

Why does an Era have to be defined by how many MVPs of Finals MVPs he has? He is the best player, on a very good team. As soon as he retires/begins to fall off of his game it will become 'King James Era' whether or not Lebron has won any Championships, Final MVPs, or any more MVP awards.

You just do not know. Lebron is the next in line but Carmelo is playing much better. Howard has a chances to be the next great center. This year's rookie class has many good players. The majority of the first round has starter potential at least. One of these guys may be better than LeBron. I am not even mentioning Durant and Paul. It is a good age for basketball. Many many good players drawing talent from around the world.

What? I don't even really like Lebron, but I definitely disagree.

I use to think like you until this year. Carmelo has developed a full game. All I am trying to say it is hard to place a player until his career is over. Kobe may end up being in the top 5 of all time but we will not know until after his career is done. I am not hating on him or the Lakers. I just reserve judgement.
