This is beyond messed up. Might be the work of a disgruntled employee at Beckett who's trying to make some extra cash on the side. Hopefully, you get this major problem resolved and perhaps Beckett would reimburse you for all the troubles that you had to go through.

wow seems like you have a great chance of getting your cards back... very glad for you. As far as having cards graded, if you really want a slabbed card just wait for a major show and 90% of the time Beckett will have a booth to accept cards to either be graded right there (you get a soft slab, but with a grade), or to be sent back to beckett.. which is quite different from sending the cards blindly in the mail. Both you and the beckett employee sign off on the cards that are being sent for graded, and its also insured so quite safe imo.
Glad it worked out for you, keep us all posted.

I wouldn't consider this resolved until tristan actually has those cards back in his posession and the criminal is punished. Glad to hear progress is being made. What was the total value of the cards? In some states, anything over $1000 is considered a felony. Anything under is a misdemeanor. Good luck getting the cards back. I can't believe the thief was dumb enough to drive down the road and put them on consignment. I hope there's a paper trail on this guy a mile long.

Do you have the scans of the front of that package as well as scans of the UPS shipping receipt. I know we are all labeling Beckett as the bad guys but I like to check both sides of the story. It easy to lambast Beckett but sometimes people do not share it all.
I assume you shared this all with the cops and the report you filed but I like to look at facts and I did not see any of the above in the initial picture of the box you posted.

bashing beckett
i agree with you on that it seems it always comes down to bashing beckett, i just sent a total of 33 cards to them and every thing went smooth. i think its wrong to point fingers at anyone until you have credible evidence that they are the culprit.

Hopefully you will get these back with gold labels that read 9.5 or 10. If they were smart, they'd do you up nice for all the trouble. Best of luck!

oh this is a n00b question on grading...I'm guessing there is no way you can physcially go to teh Beckett grading place and drop the cards off in texas? I was going to have some graded, but am nervous now especially since you address it to BECKETT GRADING SERVICES...I would feel more comfortable with dropping it off and picking it up or having them mail it back to me after it is graded and it is their responsbility.
