Michael Vick
I'm not sure where he is headed but he will end up somewhere. I haven't heard much discussion otuside of the 49ers and Skins. But I would like to see him in New England. I'm not a Pats fan, but Belichick has a way with straightening players out as does competing for a championship.
Imagine Brady with Moss on one side and Vick on the other - because I just don't see QB in his future.

I heard the Vikes. The Vikes are adamant that they do not want him but with Favre staying retired and the only options on their roster being TJack and Sage I think they may quietly inquire about him.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him go to is Miami. White is still unsigned, Pennington is 33 years old and the Wildcat was made for a QB like Vick.
Another team that could (and maybe should) be interested is the Texans. Schaub has been inconsistent and injury prone and the back-ups are Orlovsky and Grossman. Plus, wouldn't it be ironic if Vick backed up Schaub :)
The Jags could be interested. Depth behind Garrard is weak and Garrard wasn't nearly the QB in '08 that they thought he would be.
I think the Panthers may consider him as well. Delhomme hasn't been good/healthy since 2005 and back-ups McCown and Moore are little more than bodies to fill a roster spot.

I think he'd be a good fix in Minnesota. TJax hasn't exactly been lighting up the scoreboard as of late. What do they have to loose?

After the Loveboat incident, do the Vikings really want another PR nightmare???

Who knows where he'll end up or what type of shape he's in. If he's lost a step, the discussion may be moot anyway.
If, however, he's managed to stay in 'football shape' (or near enough to it that he'll be back in form by Week 6), there is not a single team that he could not improve. For most teams, he'd be an upgrade over their backup QB and for a handful of teams, he'd be an upgrade over their starting QB. If nothing else, any team could use him as a Wildcat/gimmick style player to give opposing D's one additional thing to gameplan for.
If his football skills are still intact, I think he'll get signed by an NFL team in a cheap deal that a team can very easily get out of. Whatever initial PR hit the team takes would be well overshadowed by the massive amount of free publicity they will get. That team would lead SportsCenter for a number of news cycles, the way Manny has boosted the national exposure of the Dodgers. If Vick behaves and contributes, many fans will forgive. If he's a bust or if he acts up, the team can cut ties and say it made a mistake without much loss.

No to the Texans Schaubs numbers aren't that bad and he got hurt last year ona cheap shot. Plus now they have a RB and Johnson is going to be the best WR this season in the league
Schaubs #
Pass Yards 3043 TD 15 Yds/Game 276.6 QB Rating 92.7
I also do remember Vick also getting hurt alot and my boy coming and 3 TDs and over 300 yards against the Pats.
Plus I hate Vick (darn Hokies)

Zorn said Vick would not land in Washington. Even though i feel that it would be the best fit being that D. Hall, a former teamate and its close to home. Plus it would put some fire under Campbell to get that offense movin. Shoot. Imagine Vick in Washington with the offensive back field they have and defense. That could be some nasty stuff.

The way you tell it Schaub was a superhero for the Texans. Lets tell the whole story about him not just the good parts.
Good:
*3043 yards
*15 TD's
*66.1% completition
*92.7 QB rating
Bad:
*6-5 as a starter (10-12 if you add in the 2007 season)
*20 turnovers (10 INT's, 10 fumbles)
*and the aforementioned can't stay healthy (has missed 10 games in 2 seasons since joining the Texans)
When you look at the good parts you see a solid NFL QB. When you look at the bad parts you see a guy who can't win more than half his games, turns the ball over a lot (20 turnovers in 11 games!!) and can't stay healthy.
The Texans have to be asking themselves "Who is the real Matt Schaub?"

It takes more than a QB to win games...the Texans haven't had anybody to help him and Andre Johnson until Slaton started warming up last year. They're finally putting a decent team together and will continue to get better.
And if you want to look at TOs, Big Ben had 31 in 16 games (17 INTs, 14 FUMs), Favre had 32 (22 and 10), Romo had 27 (14 and 13), Warner had 25 (14 and 11)...are they bad QBs? Big Ben won a Super Bowl turning the ball over more per game than Schaub...
