The way you tell it Schaub was a superhero for the Texans. Lets tell the whole story about him not just the good parts.

    Good:
    *3043 yards
    *15 TD's
    *66.1% completition
    *92.7 QB rating

    Bad:
*6-5 as a starter (10-12 if you add in the 2007 season)
    *20 turnovers (10 INT's, 10 fumbles)
*and the aforementioned can't stay healthy (has missed 10 games in 2 seasons since joining the Texans)

When you look at the good parts you see a solid NFL QB. When you look at the bad parts you see a guy who can't win more than half his games, turns the ball over a lot (20 turnovers in 11 games!!) and can't stay healthy.

The Texans have to be asking themselves "Who is the real Matt Schaub?"

    Scott Mitchell in disguise

It takes more than a QB to win games...the Texans haven't had anybody to help him and Andre Johnson until Slaton started warming up last year. They're finally putting a decent team together and will continue to get better.

And if you want to look at TOs, Big Ben had 31 in 16 games (17 INTs, 14 FUMs), Favre had 32 (22 and 10), Romo had 27 (14 and 13), Warner had 25 (14 and 11)...are they bad QBs? Big Ben won a Super Bowl turning the ball over more per game than Schaub...

What do you mean by warming up, he had 6 of his 10 TD's before week eight, his rushing yards were better weeks 12-14, but nothing that shouldn't have been expected. The Texans have had a decent team for the last year or two, they have a tendency to blow games for no apparent reason (much like the Bears)

I don't think I would call 2007 a good team. Ron Dayne was their leading rusher, followed no where close by Darius Walker and Ahman Green. They basically had no running game at all. Slaton alone had more than all three of them combined last year. And their o-line was horrible, but has been slowly improving. Plus Johnson was hurt almost half the season in 07 too. I agree injuries are an issue, but if they continue to get better on the o-line and defense (which they are doing) and Schaub and Johnson can stay healthy, there's no reason Schaub won't be a top 10 QB.

And Slaton had 545 yards in the first 9 games, 60.5 yds/game and only one game over 100 yds. In the final 7 games, he had 737 yards, 105 yds/game and 4 games over 100 yds. That's what I meant by warming up. Punching in TDs isn't the same as a solid overall ground attack.

Oh and back on topic: I just read on NFL.com that Vick said he's close to signing with an NFL team, but wouldn't elaborate on that.

yeah what you said.. I was going to say something about Ben. I mean if Schaub would have went to them back in 04 he would have some rings now. But I also heard on sportscenter that they think he should go to the Steelers. I could careless where Vick goes IMO he was a overrated cocky prick. And that is also comming from some of the Hokie fans that had class with him. He gets 2 years for killing dogs and Burress is looking at 3 1/2 years for shooting himself???

I don't like the guy, but he was a decent QB, and a great runner, so I guess I wouldn't mind him in Minnesota, if he wins games for us.

I would have to say the colts wont bring him in... they try to run a classy organization and i think part of not bringing marvin harrison back was the gun incident... i dont think they really want a dog fighter on their team.

Also, from what i heard he never even said he was close to a NFL team... just a professional team... there is talk he could end up in canada according to Doug Gottlieb this afternoon
