This not only happens on a sports card. I studied design and advertising. All companies do this to save money. Look inside any magazine and you will notice all the ads are almost the same. Just like a sports card.

This is nothing new. They didn't show up last year either. Plus they're products are nicer this year (except Bowman). Topps using Photoshop isn't new, so I'm not upset. Plus it looks nicer and there are less duplicates in base Topps. Magic is a big hit too. I wouldn't say they're spiraling downward...

Crap is crap regardless of the justification. I'm sorry I just don't accept your ho-hum "everybody does it so its OK" attitude but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I don't think they're done by any means. I'm just extremely dissappointed in them. I generally agree with you. Topps does seem to remember the collector and the fan's interests more often than most other companies although I believe Score has done a better job lately of issueing more players on each team cards and giving cards to players that don't have any or very few.

Thank for pointing out my attitude.
I wasn't saying who cares? I was simply stating this is a money saving move for a business.

Jeez. So they did a bad photoshopping job. You can't really be serious about being upset by this. I mean really? People are acting like they use human blood in the Magenta coloring in their cards...
