I knew it! Just kidding. Its not like I'm losing sleep over this or anything. Its just cheesy and cheap and, well, insulting.

Just like horrible collation, redemptions that never get sent, shorted boxes...and we keep coming back!

So Topps photo-shopping people into their new uniforms is what put you over the edge? Not the crap redemption process, the terrible CS, or the consistent lack of quality?
It just shows some people are still emotionally invested in Topps (or UD for that matter) actually improving. Exemplified in you even feeling "insulted"...
Cards are cards and crappy business practices are crappy business practices. But this is like biting the dysfunctional hand that feeds us - you only make it worse by whining.

Topps has been doing this for a while, and actually looks cool when done right.
The Haynesworth looks downright terrible though, ™™™? He looks like has has some body issues in the card. This and the Antonio Pittman RCs from 2007 are some bad examples of photoshopping

I don't mind if they use photoshop to change uniforms, but at least get it right. The Redskins don't have a black/gray facemask. It's yellow.

Hey, you're right. I didn't notice that. The more I look at that card, the more I just shake my head. The pants had to be completely redone what with white having to replace the light blue of the Titans. I wonder how the guy who did it feels about it? He must be really proud of the shading he put in around Haynesworth's package. (Head shaking again...)

Don't give them any ideas. I can see it now, Topps' new attempt at high end:
NEW FOR 2009: TOPPS HEMOGLOBIN FOOTBALL
EVERY CARD PRINTED WITH THE BLOOD OF THE PLAYER MIXED IN THE INK!
They did it with a KISS comic.

Oh I was laughing but not at the craziness of the idea. I was already thinking about the KISS comic when you mentioned it. I'm sure they thought about it before the players association lawyers started crying about DNA rights or some such crap.

They should make a premium card with part of a needle tube inserted onto the card. And label it player used.
