Way to overpay this guy Giants! He's maybe alittle above average with no Plaxico, with him is the reason he is good

He did win a Superbowl, but his production is not worthy of this amount of money

thats a deal imo. id rather give him 150 million rather give an unproven rookie 80 mill over 5 or 6 years. at least hes proven himself

I agree, way overpaid.
- Has only thrown 24 more TD's than INT's (prior to the '08 season he had only throw 13 more TD's than INT's)
- Has a career completion percentage of just 55.9%
- Has only passed for 300+ yards in 8 of 71 games
- Averages 1 fumble for every 7 quarters played
- Other than the 2007 season he has never won a playoff game
- Prior to 2008 had never had a QB rating higher than 77.0 (86.4 in 2008, still not an amazing rating)
- Has a 75.5 QB rating in 6 playoff games
In the final 6 games of '08 without Plaxico he completed less than 55% of his passes 3 times, threw 1 or 0 TD's 5 times and threw for less than 125 yards 2 times.
And in 2010 he will be the highest paid QB in the NFL........

But he's better than Peyton! Remember? After they won the Super Bowl, everyone was saying he was as good or better than big bro...isn't that still true? That would mean he's one of the top 3 QBs in the league at least...right?

Yeah.....sure.....whatever LOL
I can name at least 5 or 6 QB's that I would take over him....BigBen, Brady, Peyton, McNabb, Brees, Rodgers, probably Cutler....I would even have to consider taking Matt Ryan or Tony Romo before Eli.

I hope you picked up on the sarcasm...I thought that was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever heard when people were saying that. And it was a lot of people too...I'd like to know what they're saying now. Eli is above average at best and most definitely doesn't deserve to be the 3rd highest paid player in football.

Good point. I like Stafford but giving him that kind of money to start is crazy.
