yeah what you said.. I was going to say something about Ben. I mean if Schaub would have went to them back in 04 he would have some rings now. But I also heard on sportscenter that they think he should go to the Steelers. I could careless where Vick goes IMO he was a overrated cocky prick. And that is also comming from some of the Hokie fans that had class with him. He gets 2 years for killing dogs and Burress is looking at 3 1/2 years for shooting himself???

Carrying a concealed weapon, loaded, without licenses, and Burress was lucky that he was the only one shot, keep things in perspective, don't remove facts!

My schtick on Schaub is that he inherited an offense that was one of the worst period. From the passing game to running game to wideouts to running backs. It basically ruined Carrs career. Yeah i agree that he seems a little fragile, but we will see maybe this year is his break out and stay healthy, but one thing is for sure with him under the center the offense moves forward.

Andre Johnson and Kevin Walter were here when Schaub got here. #3 offense in the league last year also. Def just sucked. David Carr sucked from the get go that is why he could not even make it as a backup in Carolina. Now he is fighting for a #2 spot with the Giants and may loose that!...Both hits that injured Schaub were cheap shots of which both players were fined. Haynesworth came down on him with all 330lbs long after the ball was gone and received a fine. The "knee diver" Jared Allen dove in on his knee after the ball was gone not once, but twice and receieved a fine. He needs to learn how to protect himself and I think he and Kubiak have had that discussion.

Wish I could take credit for this opinion, but can't:

Vick's best move would be the UFL. It will keep him out of the PETA target on a larger stage in the NFL and creating a horrible environment for both him and whatever team he is on. That gives time for things to cool down AND get back into the rhythm of playing football. It'll help him get back in football playing shape and give a chance to show the NFL if he has it or not. This quiet return as opposed to a big splash may be better for him in the long run.

The offense did much better last year, but when Schaub was traded there the the offense was not as good. Johnson's stayed healthy, Walter's emerged, Owens has developed, and Slaton arrived to have a positivce impact on the offense.

This makes a lot of sense to me.

The UFL is only a good idea if Vick can't be ready to return within 6 weeks. I don't think anyone ever really cared what PETA thought. People wanted Vick's head on a platter because they hated Michael Vick.

He's never going to have a "quiet return" back into the NFL. He's easily the most polarizing player ever in the NFL, both on and off the field, so the day he returns, it'll be the lead story on sports news. If he hasn't lost his athleticism, the best route back for him is to play in the NFL, play humbly, and win. It's the Kobe Bryant formula. America loves a redemption story and loves a winner.

At this point, I think the public is ripe for his return. The people who still hate him, hated him before the dog fighting and will hate him no matter what he does. Likewise, his staunchest defenders will need no convincing. But for the big group in the middle, they think a lifetime ban is too harsh and think he should get a fair shot to get on with his career. Those are the hearts and minds Vick is playing for and for the most part, he can convince them now if he can come back and play with class.
