    Wish me luck!

Well, thanks to a gap in our teacher contracts, I'll be going 3 weeks without a paycheck. And Madden comes out this Friday. So, I found out today our local Wal-Mart is hosting a Madden tournament again. I actually won it 3 years ago, but haven't been in it since. So wish some luck for a 34 year old who'll probably have to face a bunch of guys half his age. It would be great to win it...I think you get a copy of the game and a $50 gift card. Madden and Baby Formula!!!! Everybody wins!

Ironically, around here everyone will be rushing to take the Colts. When I won it last time, I actually used the Steelers because they matched up well with the Colts. If I have to face my beloved team, I'm thinking the Giants might be a good matchup. Strong run game, good defense, decent short passing game. We'll see how it plays out.

Of course, I say all this, and watch me get bumped in the first game this time.

I may be biased but the Steelers are an excellent choice.

Their D goes a long way towards evening the playing field against even the best offenses. Toss in a good running game and a hard-to-stop short and medium range passing game and they can control the clock, put points on the board and be a beast to defeat.

    Good luck!!!

Good luck, i'll probably join the Best Buy tourney here, there was a tournament held here last year but I didn't join. I beat half the guys that were in it anyways. I wonder if there will be curle route RCs in this year's game. I personally like to use Philly and of course the Raiders

Nate Washington was one of the best WRs in Madden 09. I played a guy online that was a level 36, all he did was deep curls to Nate Washington, and he would smoke me the majority of the time

I figure to see a lot of the Colts and Steelers tomorrow. Super Bowl champs and the local team. I'll pick different teams depending on who I match up against. It'll be interesting to see what kind of people play in it. When I won 3 years ago, it was mostly average guys until I got to the final. The guy I beat played the Bears and was just a monster on defense. I won like 7-3.

I've never used the Colts, a friend of mine uses them extensively, and is pretty good with them. I think the teams that are always tough in Madden are the Raiders, Eagles, Pats, Steelers, Colts, and Cowboys.
