The Raiders? Because they have some running game? A friend of mine who I usually get the better of kept beating me on Madden 06 with the Eagles. He found like 3 plays that I just could never stop. I like playing the Colts, but I play them more aggressively than they are in real life. With their speed, it makes a difference on defense. If I have to play against them, I'll go Giants or Steelers.
If people pick the Steelers, I may go Cowboys. We'll see how it shakes down. Can't wait to play, just hope I make it past round 1!

Not really so much their running game, but their defense has a lot of speed. Contrary to what a lot of people like to believe, the main attributes in Madden that matter the most are Speed, and jump, as well as the player's height. Search the Madden forums, Darrick Brown, 5th string CB for the Raiders was probably the most dominant defender in the game, he is 6'4, 97 speed and 97 jump. If you user him as a safety, you can pretty much break up any play.

Well, spanked the first guy. Giants (me) 21, Chargers 0.
Did well with what I know, ball control offense.
Then I played the guy that won it last year in the semis. Obviously the two best players there...which is a shame one of us would come away with nothing.
And then I made my mistake. He was playing the Steelers. I took the Pats. I have no idea why I did that. The Pats don't play my style, but I was out thinking myself and told myself I needed another top notch team to play him.
I couldn't do ball control like I like to do, and I made a couple of stupid mistakes. I lose 24-14. It just was irritating because I know I could have won. And it didn't help, and I'm not kidding here, the guy had a bracelet on his ankle for being on house arrest (how the heck was he out to play in a tournament?)
Oh well....should have stuck with the Giants. It was fun still.

He probably won cause hes on house arrest and thats all hes been playing is madden.

LOL Funny you should say that. He was talking (that's all this guy did) and said he got the game yesterday and basically has been playing it for the last 24 hours. I still would like to know how get got out of the house? I was considering calling my dad (who happens to be the judge in the county) but that might qualify me as being a sore loser!!!!
