    R. Butler traded to the Clippers

    http://www.nola.com/hornets/index.ss...trading_g.html

They traded him for a conditional future 2nd round pick.

A cheap financial move by the Hornets.

He was a great player at a great price.

Not a bad move, as the Hornets do have depth at SF with the recent acquisition of Ike Diogu...but, I would think that Butler is worth more than a 2nd round pick...although, knowing the Clippers, that 2nd round pick will be awfully close to a 1st round pick...

The Clippers keep getting stronger and stronger, though if one team could lose with those players, it's the Clippers!

Yeah, this trade seems lopsided to me. I don't think CP3 can be happy about this, and trading away one of his best friends (Tyson Chandler).

Def agree with this statement...but a new season and a new team...will probly take a couple years to mesh team together but who knows

Although, the Hornets did get Emeka Okafor, and while he and Tyson are both 26, I believe Emeka has more upside...and they did sign Ike Diogu, so they do have some depth at SF, so they could afford to do this, and based on most NBA teams profits, they couldn't afford not to do something like this...yeah, he didn't make lots of money (Rasual), but even $3 million saved is helpful (I believe his salary is around $3 million, but don't quote me on that ;-)

Emeka has way more upside. Great trade for Hornets.

    This one? No way.

Ike is an unproved player. He hasn't shown anything. The chance that he shows up to his potential? Pretty slim.

For 3 million dollars, Butler was an absolute steal. He was clutch, and was obviously better than Morris Peterson.

What the **** happened to Peterson? He was a decent starter, then just went away.

May have more upside but not in the Hornets system. Chandler was a perfect player for the pick and roll and for CP3.

Mo Pete was great in Toronto - had one season of over 20 ppg...then the very next year in NO, he barely averaged 9 ppg...not sure what happened there...
