I love how people look at a problem and just blow it off as fluff, thoe same people claim smog doesnt exist, there are no holes in the ozone, we produce no pollution, there is no mercury in fish, lead is perfectly safe, and nuclear power is the safest and best form of power ...

Smog exist's, there may be holes in the ozone, we (americans) produce plenty of pollution, certain fish contain small traces of mercury, lead is definitely not safe if not properly handled, and nuclear power is definitely not safe but so far is a great form of energy ....
Those are all proven facts that one can't argue with ...
Global Warming on the other hand, has plenty of facts to dispell the crap they are pumping into our brains. Sure people should learn to take care of our planet and help out where ever they can but there is no reason once so ever to waste the amount of money and resources the government has in trying to prove it when every time they try, it get's shot down by real scientists ... people that actually study this stuff!

See correct answer below.
If a problem has been proven, then it needs to be addressed. If there's as much scientific evidence against it as there is for it, I'd prefer to get a little more definitive answer before we spend trillions of dollars on it.
Typical "global warming" answer though...lump the far-from-proven theory of "global warming" in with actual facts like smog and pollution.

I simply say anything that can happen to improve this planet in anyway is a good thing and the cost of it does not matter afterall we can survive without money, we cant live without the planet and this planet is hurting in a big way and we care too little to do anything to fix it.

I have noticed that most people say they are in favor of common sense environmental practices such as energy efficiency, cleaner practices etc. but as soon as someone says anything about global warming in relation to these ideas they are somehow tainted and now just a waste of money. OK, so you might not agree with the reasoning behind these ideas but it's pretty ignorant to say that they are bad ideas because of that.

well. you are kind of backwards on that. id probably agree with government regulation and new laws set up to protect the planet. I probably wouldnt like them, but I would understand them. You are right, i associate global Warming with Al Gore and cap and Tax. Its BS. Taxing people and spending money doesnt help the planet. Its complete BS.

No one is saying those common sense practices are bad and they shouldn't be done. But the government doesn't make laws about that or spend trillions of dollars on it.
We're referring to the idiotic Cap and Trade plan that does nothing but put us at a disadvantage to China and India, which we're already losing jobs and productivity to.
I have noticed that most people say they are in favor of fighting "global warming," but when someone says they're against it, they're only rebuttal is "why would you be against recycling or more energy efficient vehicles?" It's pretty ignorant to think those are the things people are against. Those things have little to nothing to do with the legislation the government is pushing through in the name of "global warming."

The kid in this article was promoting planting trees, conservation and energy efficiency. However, he is getting bashed like crazy even though this part of his message is completely accurate simply because he agrees with Al Gore's message of global warming. Also, everyone claims to promote energy efficiency, conservation etc. but when it comes down to it and they see that it's not actually a $0 price tag to plant trees and swap out light bulbs the support starts to dwindle and global warming is often used as the scape goat. It's getting kind of old to see blanket attacks on any legislation or action that has anything to do with environmental protection with the response "Global warming is BS" or "Al Gore is a hypocrite".
