Always learning something new each day:

special glass so when item is frame it prevents fading.

I never knew... until now. I'll look into it and see what it does for my options, thanks Don.

Well I assume if you look into the Pro-Mold thread the V.P. of sales mentioned how they had a uv coating that prevent cards from fading for like 30 years. So I assume it the same type of thing. Just be prepared to pay a premium as I did from my framing shop. Just need to determine if the price is worth it to you.

Anytime, what we are here for. Let us know what you find out.

    Cool

You could always get it signed again. I seen ton of season ticket holders wear their jerseys over the years with faded auto's. They add the new players each year and wear the jersey to the games. To some this is s hobby not a investment. If your not paying for the auto's I seen this as a great way to encourage athletes to sign.
    DON

I suppose that to be true. For me it's not about investment (not that you were implying that), it's about the story and conversation piece. I understand what you mean though.

    Save yourself some money.

Ol Johnny is an excellent Through the mail signer. Send him a jersey, you'll save yourself 150 dollars, and you know it will be authentic.

I've got a Neely replica, a Chelios authentic (won it at the Bruins carnival) and a team signed Bruins from 2000. Love them all! Only the Neely is framed though.

I also have been thinking of sending jrys through the mail to be autographed, guess theres some $ issues regarding mailing back though in play, esp going across the border.

As for the framing part, I was thinking of framing my 05-06 Pens Practice jersey but it travels alot to games/practices/events to get signed. Whats the best mobile way to insure the autos do not get anything on them.

    Like this?

Heres the frame its in. I keep it in a room with no sun.

I've hear of the UV resistant glass, but couldn't find any at the time. The whle thing cost me about $30 ..seriously.
I also have a plan to get 24, 25 & 26 signed by Probert, McCarty & Kocur. I just need D-Mac and he's typically the best signer, just never have a jersey.

I have a Bower, REd Kelly, Lindsay and Draper, they just need to be sewn together.
