I was in the 8th grade - my dad was driving me to school when we heard it on the radio. The school canceled the day so my dad came to pick me up after parents were notified. They didn't let us watch anything at school while kids waited for their parents - smart move.

I was in my high school jim class locker room when i first heard about this. I thought it was a joke, I mean a plane crashing into the towers? then i heard the principle announcement in my next class (history), and then i realized it's true.
God Bless everyone who was involved.

I also remember exactly where I was - I was in my living room when someone told us to turn our TV on...it was after the first 3 planes hit, and the 4th one (Flight 93 in PA) was about 15-20 minutes prior to it crashing, and it was also before either tower fell. I remember watching for hours, just in shock.

History channel has alot of shows on today showing what happened, from news teams, regular joe camera angles, home videos, etc, etc, etc...I am getting choked up still seeing this...it is just so dang saddening....but it is interesting too simply because it is historical.

his is one of the worst days in history of America. I watched 4-5 hours of 9/11 programs on History channel. Just some of the stories are amazing. One gentleman was running late to work that day 15 minute late, on his way to work the first plane hit on his floor. The reason he was late to work was he was watching MNF the night before. It amazes me that somebody could be so cold- hearted to do such a thing to innocent NYC workers. Thank you to the Police and Firemen that risked their lives that day. Not all made it out. God bless America.

I remember the day it happened. I was in like first or second grade at the time. I was too young to know the magnitude of it, but I knew it was bad. Go America!

Heard/saw that same story...some of the home videos of when it happened were quite disturbing...and the camera angle when the second plane hit the building...my goodness, that sends chills down your spine...even thinking about it right now makes chills go down my spine.

I remember I was in 1st Grade when it happened. The bus dropped me off at my house and I walked into my house and saw it on our TV and my mom explained what happened. It was a crazy day
