here is the first couple of sentences
"
This hypothesis never had significant scientific support, but gained temporary popular attention due to a combination of press reports that did not accurately reflect the scientific understanding of ice age cycles, and a slight downward trend of temperatures from the 1940s to the early 1970s. General scientific opinion is that the Earth has not durably cooled, but undergone global warming throughout the 20th century.
In the 1970s there was increasing awareness that estimates of global temperatures showed cooling since 1945. Of those scientific papers considering climate trends over the 21st century, only 10% inclined towards future cooling, while most papers predicted future warming"

Substituting the dates and ice age for warming, that is verbatim what Wikipedia.com will say about "global warming" in 30 years. Also, when it comes to political issues like "global warming," Wikipedia is hardly a credible source.

OPT is a planet denier. He denies the fact that humans have an example of run-away global warming in Venus. Venus' atmosphere is 97% carbon dioxide. This is the same thing our factories and cars spew out. Scientists would never have a model for global warming even though Venus' temperature at the surface is around 900 degrees F.

You weren't lying, you really are another Gatorboy, making up other people's opinions for them without any actual basis in fact. Congratulations, you've achieved complete irrelevance!

LOL. Like I care what you think. I will continue to expose your denial of science.

Such a noble mission sir! I'm not denying science...I just look at all of it instead of picking and choosing whatever fits my agenda and have an open mind that considers there may be other possibilities than what CNN tells me.

LOL. You will never understand. Venus isn't real to you even though it can be seen with a telescope. LOL. You are quite funny. Silly silly person.

Now I am offended...the person who can't comprehend simple sarcasm telling me I'll never understand.
Typical response though...instead of addressing the fact that there is contrary scientific evidence, just resort to insulting...such high-minded debate tactics! You do have a wonderful knack for proving my point for me.

Without reading this thread (aside from the OP)...
This could, in fact be a cause of global warming - how? Global warming melts the icecaps, correct? Melting the icecaps would send 30 degree water into the oceans, thus cooling the overall temperature of the ocean, thus cooling off the entire world, considering over 70% of the Earth's surface is made up of water...therefore, these cooler temps could be the beginning of another ice age...

Give me another warning then. You are a mod.
OK OPT I am going to do this simply for you. I will ask you a series of questions and you tell me which is wrong.
-Is Venus a planet?
-Is carbon dioxide a chemical compound?
-Is Venus' atomsphere 97% carbon dioxide?
-Does carbon dioxide trap heat?
-Is the surface temperature of Venus around 900 degress F?
-What do cars and factories admit in mass quantities on this planet?
It seems pretty logical to me. I guess you missed the point.
