yeah, typically a card in a toploader and bubble mailer will come in at 0.3 to 0.5 oz. Excellent point.

    Edit: I meant 3 oz to 5 oz. :)

You know another member on HK made a very good point on the weight of the package that could really help me out.

I doubled checked my receipt, the package I sent to him weighed 2.40 oz. .... Other packages that I sent that day (that only had one card) only weighed roughly 1.40 oz. Which means that there had to be more then one card in that package I sent to him.

Yeah, so now with this, there no question this guy is scamming me.

    Oh nice!

So the guy sent me another email, and it looks like he's resorting to name calling now, anyways, here is what he had to say:

    Hey Doubter,
I do not know if you are trying to call me a liar or what! You mention that perhaps someone @ the P.O. may of stole the other two cards, but that you doubt that. You also mention that you are 100% that all three cards were in the package. Well, where are the two Derek Fisher autograph cards that I won. I asked you for a refund for the 2 missing Derek Fisher autograph cards and you did not give me a response to my request. I will wait until Monday ( 10/26/2009 for your answer. I will notify Pay Pal and Ebay of my two missing Derek Fisher autograph cards that you fail to send! I hope that you give me a positive answer or you will force me to take further action.
    Good-Bye,

    I responded by saying this:

Who says I'm calling you a liar, but now that you mention it, this situation does seem way too bizarre for me.

Just to let you know, I happened to look at my receipt from the post office again, and after looking at it, I could actually now PROVE to you that more then one card was in that package I sent to you.

How, you ask? I looked at the weight of the package compared to the other packages I sent out that day. The other packages that only contained ONE card in them, weighed an average of 1.40oz., the package I sent out to you was 2.40oz. (the average weight of a card in a top loader is roughly .30 to .50 oz. each). Meaning that there had to be more then one card in that package, which is obviously the two Derek Fishers.

If you like, i could send you a scan of that receipt.

Now, I don't want to be name-calling or accuse anything to anybody, but doesn't that seem bizarre to you?

So, if you HONESTLY feel that I DESERVE to be reported to ebay or paypal, then I really have no choice but to defend my case with them, because i know I didn't do anything wrong here and that I know with 100% certainty that all 3 cards were sent to you. I?m sorry.

I decided to call his bluff, and now it's a wait and see....

Yeah it's either he's trying to scam you or the post office stole the cards. Either one is possible. If you don't mind the negative you should just fight for the money. Remember to take your money out of your paypal acct asap so they can't freeze your funds. =)

Thanks for reminding me about that, I did that right away!

Yeah, it kind of crossed my mind of whether or not a person from the post office stole those cards, but that really doesn't make any sense to me. Why would somebody risk there job to steal content inside a package that is not very valuable, and still deliver that package?

My guess on why he is doing this to me is because I think he realizes that he overpaid for the cards, so I guess he figures this is the only way to get his money back..... but that's not going to come easy.

    Thanks for the support everybody!

Just as a update, the buyer didn't bother to respond to my last email and went ahead to file a claim with paypal, and i went ahead and escalated it.

It's now in the hands of paypal, let's hope it all turns out well!
