Any other Straight Edge Members?
I get a lot of crap for being Edge, but right now I don't care what anyone thinks. About 90% of my friends are the farthest things from edge, half of the kids in my school do it for popularity. I don't understand that.
Just curious to who else is Straight Edge.

Gotcha. In anything like that, there are always some posers who only do it because they're supposed to or because it looks good on college applications or whatever. I was in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) when I was in high school and it was the same thing...go to FCA on Friday mornings, get wasted after the game Friday night. Don't let it bother you or get you down, it's very commendable to have your own principles and stick to them despite all the peer pressure. I didn't have Straight Edge, but I never did any of that stuff in high school either, I know how tough it can be. Keep it up!

Most of my friends think it's so cool. My idea of it is, your the one that is ruining your life and getting messed up while your doing it. I told some people, have fun ruining your life.

Never heard of straight edge before, but I am nearly...I'm 21, so I have had a few beers, but I don't make a habit of it, and won't...in my over 2 months since turning 21, I've had 3 beers total, and have never gotten drunk, or even buzzed. I've never smoked cigarettes, and never have used any sort of illegal drugs, or legal drugs used in the wrong way. So, while I'm not really "straight edge", I'm pretty darn close ;-)

According to a news story I read years ago, Straight Edge people go around harassing, intimidating and beating up people who don't agree with them. Is that true?
