I have a question about this.

How come cc is the way people pay to be apart of this? This is exactly the same as gambling.

Isn't the reason they took the betting section off SCF was because it's dealing w/ cc(money)

You're not, in essence, gambling. You're buying a spot in the squares contest, each with the same odds of being the winning square(s). If you call this gambling, then you can call group breaks gambling as well.
