I've had Rogue Dead Guy (I thought it was an ale) and I think Shakespeare Stout...I don't remember vividly, but I know I didn't dislike it.

There was a place at Clemson just across from one of my apartments called Plez-U. It was an old school convenience/general store and they had a fantastic selection of micro brews, foreign stuff, and a lot of stuff you just don't see any where else. But the best thing was you could mix your own six pack. So at least once a week, me and my roommate would go in and mix a six pack each, got to try a lot of wild and different stuff. We kept one bottle of every different beer we tried...at the end of two years we had over 150 different bottles, not to mention over 80 different liquor bottles. We were running out of places to put them...we drank a little.

I have heard it is made in small batches and pricey.

Rogue Dead Guy is an ale. Officially an amber ale but an ale nonetheless.

There is a local place around here too where you can mix and match a six pack. Love it! I don't think I tried quite as many as you but definitly tried my share. I also really like Lagunitas and Deschutes breweries. And less you think me a microbrew snob, I do like most Sam Adams too...

JayJag - didn't mean to exclude participation by the younger crowd. Feel free to join in. I just didn't want to get blamed for supporting the drunkeness of minors...:-)

The best porter I've tried is Boulevard Bully. It has a limited distribution, primarily in Missouri. It's produced in Kansas City, and it costs quite a bit to purchase it even here in the more southern part of the state, but it's worth it.

Haha, well I'm a college student, what do you expect?!

I'm not really a fan of beer and I often get called a wuss for not liking it. But if I absolutely HAVE to drink it, I'm partial to Yuengling Lager, Yuengling Black & Tan, and Amber Bock.

I can pretty much do vodka or Bacardi plus anything.

Margaritas are pretty good too.

But my absolute favorite kind of alcohol is Amaretto. Mixed with Cherry Coke or Dr. Pepper, it is exquisite.

Ahhhh...that explains it. It's been a few years since I've seen it.

Beer is most definitely an acquired taste...and some never acquire it. I will say your three if you have to are pretty good for mainstreamers.

And I hate to sound like a macho meathead, but amaretto is pretty wussy ...my wife used to love it! It does taste good, I actually like amaretto sours, but a little on the weak side. Which I guess that shouldn't be a bad thing...

I forgot to mention my Lebowski stand by...love a good caucasian!

Hmmm, I like Coors Light and Keystone Light. I also like the (white trash) Frazia box wine. When it comes to wine i like the white zinfandel.

Also like cheap vodka mixed with grapefruit juice.
