    Question 8x10 postage?

im mailing an 8x10 in a pretty big envelope. im not sure about the size, but the SASE is a 9x12 .how much postage should i put on the envelope & the SASE? would 2 stamps on each be enough?

    thanks,

would definitely weigh it dude. i have the luxury have having an OLD postage scale from when you had to weigh things yourself. see if you know someone with a scale thats pretty new. mine goes to the .1s so if works great for that kinda stuff. be sure to change from .1s to 1/16s. you know? and then once you have the weight ask your PO how it works.
i think it was a dollar for 2 onces and 17 cents per another ounce. not sure if its changed.

Do you have a toploader or something? If you use a toploader or a piece of cardboard its 3 forever stamps or 3 44 cent stamps but just the picture is 2 forever stamps

I put three 44 cents stamps

wat i do is put the returning address as your address on the sase

so in case if there is unsufficient stamps then it would still return to you

1.05 without cardboard on a 9x12 envelope.......with carboard is 1.22. Basically, if it is rigid they will charge you the 1.22.

Go to the USPS website and figure it out that way. US postage went up yesterday again

When I go to USPS to mail a 9x12 envelope (with another inside for SASE), with 1-8X10 & 1 cardboard (same size), it cost me a minimum of $1.56. They consider the package rigid (especially if you write DO NOT BEND). When I did the old 3X.44 stamp routine, the envelope was returned due to insufficient postage. I use the thick manila 9X12 envelopes because they hold up real well under the normal USPS thrashing...
