Question for you all, if you wanted to purchase a case to crack, what would you buy?

Stipulations: You have $1000 to spend and you can not find a 3-tin case of the The Cup to break

Well I would bust a case of H&P 06-07 which is about 650$ then try to get enough money to break a case of MVP 09-10 (doing the set) which is 500

If I could find one, a case of the Habs Centennial.

I'd probably do a case of 06/07 H&P as well. Some awesome looking cards and with such a low price point, it's not too unlikely that you will make all of your investment back and still get to keep a few cards.

I did a case of this when I was still on staff and if you sold some of the bigger hits from the case, you probably could get enough in return to fund that case.
