Haha....Jawad is already on GOAT level. #justsayin

I never even thought to look online....last time I was at a Cavs game they had nothing of him in the team shop. Although now that I think about it, it's probably likely that his stuff was completely sold out due to him being such a monster.

I can certainly see that. After he scored 20 points that one game, everyone just went nuts and bought all his stuff.

I was at the Cavs team shop in downtown Cleveland a few days ago while I was making my visit to Bowling Green, and I saw they still had Joe Smith jerseys for the full price lol.

Wow, I go away for a little over an hour and I come back to almost 4 full pages of replies!

First off, let's not go at each other with petty comments...everyone is entitled to their opinion, and just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean it's ok to go after them with insults...it appears that things have settled down now, though...if anyone has any issues still, feel free to PM me or any other mod - don't take anything personal to the boards, please and thank you.

Back to the trade...Cavs clearly got the best end of this deal...then the Wizards...then the Clippers. Yeah, the Clippers are just clearing cap room, but the deal still made little sense to me, from their perspective. Telfair could become a great player - he's shown flashes of a great future in the past. As for the Wizards, they get a center to replace Haywood, and they get a great young player in Thornton. They have been in rebuilding mode for awhile, and are now one player away from trading away the last few years of their team (Arenas). They do have a decent looking future though, with Foye, Thornton and McGee looking the brightest. Lastly, the Cavs are clearly going after the "win now" approach - they know they may lose Lebron in under 5 months, and are clearly trying to do anything to attempt to please him, and win a title in the process. We'll see how it plays out, but on paper, I feel they are the clear team to beat in the east, and arguably the team to beat in the entire league.

Also of note: The Wizards getting another center in the deal (Brian Skinner) could signify that Z will be bought out.

Works for me. Even if we don't play Z very much if/when we get him back, I'll just be happy that he is back with us and a part of the team.

Also, I'm wondering if the Cavs will still try and get a SG in a sign and trade with Wally. I really doubt they will try too hard, if at all, but it would be nice to try and get something out of Wally.

If Z is bought out, and returns to Cleveland, I think Stern should be investigated for rigging this deal in the Cavs favor...lol

Wait, if he is bought out, when would he go back to the Cavs?

You don't think a late first round draft pick, cap relief, and Emil Preldzic for Jamison is a fair trade?

A month later. So we could have him back by the end of March.
