    ROML vs Trump Baseballs

Hey everyone i'm a new guy here and did some research on the topic but was looking for more info on the preferences of people between the ROML and the Trump balls. I know the ROMLB would be best but going to Braves ST and don't got that type of money so was going to get 3-4 people on one of these balls. I will have some ROMLBs for the great players though. The price isn't much of a difference bc of the shipping for the Trump balls.

$30 for a dozen Trump balls. At $15 per ball(min) for ROMLB that's a major difference in price.

I personally have always used ROMLB(after a few OLB3s...yikes). Then again I have only been collecting HOFers and like the nice classy/uniform look it gives my collection. If I were a mass collector I would probably turn to Trumps just because they are so much cheaper price wise while having similar leather quality.

With shipping it costs me $67 to my door while I can get the ROML balls at my local sports store for $6 a piece so the price isn't really a concern. So more concerned about how they work with autographs.

If you can get ROMLB for $6 each go that route without a doubt. That is an insane price...really just crazy good.

In terms of quality ROMLB is the cream of the crop especially at that price.

ROML is different then ROMLB. ROML is the ball I can get for $6.

What I have found is that if the ball has a true "leather cover with a cork-rubber pill", it will not fade and/or smear (if you use a blue Bic!). Normally, the sig will not looks as dark or tight as a ROMLB. That's because the leather has more grain to it. I only use my ROMLBs for my favorites, super stars and/or HOF'ers. And yes, there are those who will not sign on the SS but if you really want them...

There is no ball that will hold up or look as nicely as a ROMLB. If the ball says synthetic leather cover, run away from it and don't use it. If you do, take a picture of the sig quickly because it will definately fade out.

Both of these claim to have full grain leather. Yea I know the ROMLBs are the best and I will have a couple of those for the stars just looking for a ball to get 3-4 lower level players on.

It's all about your budget and reason for collecting. If you are a huge fan of the team and want as many guys as possible, and you have no intentions to sell them go Trump.

If you would prefer 2-4 huge stars (with no guarantee they even sign) and you might need to sell them later spend the $ on the real ROMLBs'.

Do what makes you happy. I use the ROMLB's for all ym HOF and huge stars but when I graph IP or at MiLB games I use ROMLB training balls.

How is it about the budget if the Trump and Rawlings Specification balls are same price if you include shipping with the Trump balls?

I think I am confusing people when I say ROML I mean the MLB Specification ball not the official $15 ball.

Do not use the ROML, they bleed and fade badly. The trump balls are ugly and sometimes bleed but are not neerly as bad as the ROML. After a couple years you wont even be able to see the autos on the Roml. good luck
