Defense wasn't good but he made MULTIPLE questionable plays during that game, just slide the Devils fan goggles off for a second. He had a bad game, it happens. Now Luongo will get his chance.

It has nothing to do with Devils goggles. The second goal he gave up to Rafalski was terrible. His puckhandling was not up to his own par...but he's just a scapegoat here. He gave up one more goal than Miller. He made a bunch of great saves. It's not like he had a horrendous games. His team took too many penalties and didn't execute. With the team canada has, they should be able to score 4 or 5 goals. Didn't Nash shoot one right through the crease? Didn't Iggy not get a puck high enough on a virtually empty net? Didn't Crosby deflect one in? Where's the criticism for them?

Because you cant tell Pronger, Boyle and whoever else Canadians think played bad to go home.... You can however change goaltenders and that is what Canada is doing. I dont understand whats complicated..

Neither do I...never said changing goalies was an issue with me...as a Devils fan I'm happy about it. Marty needs rest. Just saying I don't think this is as much Brodeur's fault as everyone is making it out to be. Also...maybe a little credit to the US team is in order? They played a great game.

Hey don't worry. everyone will blame Luongo when he gives 5 or 6 goals to Russia.

As a fan of the game I think Canada should come back with Brodeur. He is the better and more experienced goalie. To quote what some posters said in another thread about some of the forwards on Canada's team "what has he ever won." So what has LOUUUUUUUUU ever won? Just remember how many goals he gave up to the Hawks in a must win game 6 in the playoffs last year (7).

They did play a great game but nor Brodeur or the rest of team Canada rose to the occasion which is why a change is in order.... This argument is going in circles IMO.
And when Lou beats Russia in his home rink he will be Canadas new Golden Boy.

From what I just read Babcock says it's Bobby Luo all the way through....it's about time.

Ya!!!!! I think Brodeur expected to be #1 all the way through. I guess Babcock proved him wrong.
