i can understand frustration with modin with all his injuries - but if he's healthy i would have traded more than a 7th to get him.
he was a top 6 player in TB when they won the cup - if he can be close to the player he was then it will be a great deal for LA.

I'm still completely baffled that the Flyers didn't get a goalie. Paul even said in an interview that they didn't try very hard..... I don't know what in the hell he is thinking. Boucher is terrible and will never be a good back-up. With Emery out, we really needed another goalie.

And after delivery time..... I'll be the proud owner of a couple of Ryan Whitney RCs to add to my Oilers PC :)

Now I've just got to find Ryan Jones.

Lubo to the ducks for Ryan Whitney

i wonder if Murray will split up Handzus and Stoll. they have worked very well together. TM has a lot of options now. but i love our team up front...

clune, cliche and others can go back to manchester.

DL didn't get a d-man but TM has eight to work with (doughty, johnson, scuderi, o'donnell, jones, greene, drewiske, harrold) so he can go with whoever is playing well. i would have loved to see visnovsky back with the kings but overall i love what DL did. he didn't sacrifice any of the future and made the team much better.

Well when willy is back, he has to go back with Smyth and Kopi which means Brown has to be bumped to 2nd line. Only way Fro and Stoll stay on the same line is if it goes like this:

    Stoll-Zus-Brown
    Froloaf-Richie-Simmer

You can't have Richie as a 4th liner. You give decent ice time and he's VERY effective. Frankly I think Zus on the 3rd makes for a lot better of a line.

As for D, I just can't wait until we get rid of that scrub Jones. He's awful on so many levels. I'm fine with the D how it is right now. We just need DD2 to be the 6th man and not Jones. And I dont really consider Harrold D anymore. I just consider him a "plug". Plug him in anywhere and he can play that position

Same. With these pickups, he becomes a guy who will probably fill in only on injuries or if someone is streaking terribly. He's a decent player but he's just not overly good at anything and certainly not good enough to permanently secure a spot in our lineup

He did very well last year when Nabby was out for an extended period of time.

most goalies are only as good as the team around them are and in Boucher case

    San Jose > Philly

I have to wonder if Philly would have taken Alex Auld of waivers if the Rangers did not.

Yeah, he only did well why Nabby was out because the Sharks (I'm from San Jose) played amazing in front of him, even better than they did in front of Nabby. Even when we play well in front of him though, this year he seems to be letting in a ton of weak goals. Not much we can do now but hope Leighton turns into a monster in the playoffs.

I dunno why Anaheim moved Pogge, hes having a pretty good season in San Antonio this year. Ahhh well, I guess I like the Hurricanes better than the Ducks anyway. lol
