This is true. I have no problem with this, but by 26 you should have your own insurance, and some parents do not have insurance of their own. I have always thought insurance was another thing you work and strive for even at 26. I have always thought that working hard is how we attain these sort of things. Are the young adults lazy, or is there not any jobs to be had??

I been working like another person as freelance for companies. Plus in my field Information System Security not a lot of companies are looking for employees at the moment. That is why right now I am doing freelance network set ups.

    Ah, the laziness question.

We've been in a recession for over two years. Most people don't enjoy being unemployed.

I think some of the answer for why this happened was because for so long health insurance has been all but tied to employment, and with a lot of people with more time to think about it, a lot of people started to question why that is.

And I don't think it's a bad question to have an answer for. Insurance needs to be affordable regardless of your employment status. Better to take a step and find out how to improve it then stick with what was, just because it was.

But better to take a more helpful step like actually addressing health care costs, rather than just shift the burden of the cost without doing anything to reduce them, which is what this law does.

Okay, so lets see the reasons for high health care costs.

There is one, and it is the same reason as the high cost of everything else - the ridiculous fact that it all feeds a legal system.

if someone could point me to any spot in the consitution it remotely or even can be stretched to think the govt needs to be in charge of healthcare please point me to that line.... or if anyone can show me a country that has a better network of ALL DOCTORS from pediatricians and family doctors to heart and brain surgeons please let me know.

Is our system broken? You could say that, but as stated many times this bill does not address the problems. There is not much in it that will reduce costs, very little that will streamline the process or limit lawsuits....

Im just trying to figure out the thought process that gives people the sense of entitlement. Sure i would love to drive a ferari and live in a multi million dollar home. I dont want the government giving me stuff though. I dont want your unemployment instead i would rather keep more of my paycheck and live off that while looking for a job. I dont want your healthcare i want to take reigns of that and purchase it myself from whatever company i want (which currently because of the border laws cannot be done). I dont want your foodstamps i want you to leave that money in small business and americans pockets so they buy more stuff, creating more jobs....

i like the health care reform. i think it will help. anything is worth a shot since the current system aint that great. kids will get to stay on parents insurance till they turn 27. insurance companies cant turn you down bc of prexisting conditions. lets give it a chance before everybody bashes it. everybody will be required to have health insurance... so what? whats wrong with that? everybody should have health insurance.
