That just makes that particular seller an idiot.

Anyone who would think a Datsyuk patch with 5 different colors is real may want to look into a new hobby.

if the patch had more than the two colors (red and white) i wouldn't be asking for everyone's opinion. I thought it was real, but just wanted to get confirmation from other who are more knowledgeable in this area than me.

Some times i shake me head with all the " is this fake or real " patch threads. I can understand people being skeptical of sweet patches considering some of the low life scum out there selling such.
08/09 Cup has been photographed and documented so that year would be difficult to get away with a fake patch especially of a bigger name player.
There are some very knowledgeable people out there who frequent auction sites and trade boards keeping an eye out for such cards.
This by no means does not stop patch switching losers from doing their thing
My goodness if i ever decided to sell some of my amazing cards i can imagine the threads " real or fake"
In my opinion and that is all it is that Abdelkader is real.

An HI member, gomaz, went to UD, photographed every card from the Cup, uploaded/cropped them, and made a blog for people to reference their cards to see if they match up.

if it is fake is a terrible fake patch.. usually you see like 5 or 6 colors when they fake one.

I think trying to make a 5 or 6 color Red Wings patch would make the forgery a little easy to spot, all we have is red and white.
